I hope it will go back 2-d for one more time but thats probably never going to happen i prefer 2-d over 3-d. 2-d has better gameplay play umk3 to see what im talking about also the combo system is way more fun.And the gameplay is fast. Also i like the graphics more they are realistic.Mk classics will always be better then any mk3d game.

I think MKD will be an amazing 3d fighting game but I don't think I will ever play it more than I have played the previous 2d games. If midway were to make a collection game similar to the recent Street Fighter Anniversary, where you would have all characters in a 2d game, I would be in heaven.

2d was easy to deal with. once you get into 3d it gets real complex.
The thing about MKDA, it was supposed to run on the mk4 fighting engine. Part way thru, the found that it was inadequate. They had to start from scratch and the reason they ran out of money and time. They wasted it.
MKDA is actually the #6 development version but #5 released version. MKD just is an expanded & updated version of MKDA.

2d mk > 3d mk
BTW, where the hell did you see that MKDA was supposed to use the MK4 engine?
