Yo guys, just had an idea while sittin here at work. Lemme know what you think...
What if you had a choice of gamestyle while playing? You could pick either Arcade or Simulation.
Arcade would have a very 'arcady' feel to it and be very easy for noobs to pick up and have an old MK feeling to it with just HP, LP, HK, LK, block, special moves, and since we're in a 3d world now some basic side stepping. This mode, then would not use different styles of fighting, you could use the old beloved uppercut, and weapons possibly a special move like Mk4.
Simulation would be the every expanding deep deep style of play that we have grown to love with combos, specials, weapons, and all the new stuff Midway is coming up with at the moment.
The reason I think this could be a good idea is, when I first bought MK:DA and showed it to a bunch of my friends (ones who played the old games), they didn't want to play after about 10 minutes cause they needed to learn how to actually fight.
With the extra "arcade" mode people may like it for the old style of play. They can stick with that if they choose, but they are bound to have some interest in the simulation mode and learn how to really play the game.
'Tis all for now...
