GGs again to Jadeown. I hate having to run away while playing Jade, but I have no idea how to use her up close. Your Noob put her in her place though. =) I'm trying to expand my roster to Sheeva, Reptile, Rain, Jade and Li Mei. Reptile is fun as hell and some of his strings seem hella safe. I wish his b,f+1 wasn't so crappy when playing online. It would be a great punisher.

Ever heard of a microwave, nigga?
GGs to Bronzefist. You played a decent game. Keep up the good work. I see your roster and like how it's a bunch of characters nobody really uses. That's cool, but I would suggest also learning a character who's top tier such as Sareena or Noob, too.

We played again, GGs and here are tips I told you I would be giving..
1. You need to use your breakers more wisely. I felt like I was fighting dan back in the MKD days for a minute. Using them when you're about to lose a round(unless it's round 3 of course) can be extremely costly. Using one near the end of a juggle is also silly since you took most of the damage already to begin with. Just be wiser about it. They're a valueable asset to your success, but can also fuck you up if you just throw them out whenever you take damage. Personally, if I know the juggle the opponent's juggle is going to basically make our health bars even, I tend not to bother using a breaker, but that's also very situational and may change depending on who I'm fighting and what round it is.
2. Low kicks are great in this game. They are unparryable and very hard to punish most of the time, but that does not mean you should throw them out all of the time. They do very little damage and don't guarantee any true 50/50s like they did for the most part in MKD due to the enhanced jumping. You SHOULD fear the parry, but fearing it to the point where you do low kicks 70% of the time isn't wise. You will find yourself on the losing end a great deal of times because your opponent is willing to take the risks that you aren't. Attacking with moves that are parryable is fine as long as you are not predictable and are smart about when you do it. Not to mention you can't bait out parries when you low kick all day.
3. You need to throw WAY MORE often. Throws may not be as dominating as they were in MKD, but they are still a neccessity. Think about all of those low damaging low kicks you use. They do about 4% damage max. Replace that with 16% damage. What's better to you? I thought so : )
4. I like your roster of characters. Absolutely nobody plays any of them, and you play them all well. However, there's a reason why they aren't used, and that is because they aren't all that good. You're a player with great potential, but your potential will peak at your character's tier. You can be the best Jade/Reptile/Sheeva/Li Mei player to ever touch this game, but you will still lose a great deal due to those who use top tier characters such as Sareena,Scorpion,Sub-Zero,Noob,Tanya,Quan Chi,Shinnok, etc. Why? Because they're simply better and completely overpower whoever you use. Trust me. Accept the game for it's full value, and don't shelter yourself from the better characters just because they're overused, easy to play and overly powering. I would never say to stop using any of your characters, but I STRONGLY SUGGEST learning a top tier as back up. If the best players decided to give you nothing but the top 5 best, you would be pretty much hopeless with your current roster of characters.
Other than that, you're the best new face I've seen for this game. Pretty much everyone who ran MKD runs MKA right now. Nobody new has made much of an impact, but I think you can. You remind me of myself when I first began playing MKD. You're really smart and strategic. Just gotta put it all together.
GGs and keep improving.

Yo man thanks for the props. I tend to pick up on most fighting games quickly, since I been playing them since SF2 lol. GGs earlier, but yeah you're right about your points.
1. Sometimes I'm a fucking spazz on breakers and I *know* that shit costs me the match later on. Sometimes I use them accidentally cause I'm too eager to walk forward after blocking a string and I forget to let go of block. I'm working on it though. I know what you mean about using them too late in juggles. I been noticing that over the past few days. I been trying to make mental notes of whether I'm *really* reducing a juggle's damage by breaking it, or whether I should just save my breaker. Overall its just something I gotta get a better feel for, but it looks like its really going to be dependent on who I'm fighting, what throw/juggle they're using, etc
2. I'm still trying to get a feel for low kicks in this game. Thanks for the explanation. I'm used to fighters (Tekken, SC, etc) where low attacks typically give you a few frames of advantage and I don't think that's the case in this game (correct me if I'm wrong). Oddly enough I've seen some low attacks parried in this game (Li Mei & Sareena's weapon d+1) so I'm guessing the parry operates on a case by case basis? I mainly use lows alot to try to setup my mid attacks (Sheeva's 1, Reptiles 4,1,1,b+2 string, etc) plus they seem to be the only way for me to track sidesteppers--any other attack/string seems to miss like crazy. Still your suggestion is noted though. I'll see what I can do.
3. Maaaaaan I'm trying to work on the throws, but people seem to duck them like crazy against me. Maybe cause I low kick so much? :) I'm also looking at some old MKD guides (if applicable) to find some guaranteed throw setups, since I've had them used on me ALOT. I really wish this game had *real* throw escapes instead of us having to waste breakers. Fighting games have had throw escapes for over 10 years now...
4. I'm hella stubborn on stuff like this. Mid-low tiers have been my legacy lol. Don't get me wrong though--I usually try to learn the upper tier characters as a game ages, but I learn them mainly to find their strengths/weakness so I'm better prepared when using my favorites. It varies by game though and I've had the fortune of playing some relatively 'balanced' fighting games in the past, where there were definite tier lists, but even some of the low-mid guys can be competitive. It definitely takes more work, but whatever I'm cool with that. I think it does make a game less enjoyable when everyone uses top tier only, so that's why I'm trying to keep my roster varied. 'Enjoyable' is purely subjective though, so everyone's opinion is gonna be different. That being said I'll see whats up with Noob/Scorp/Sareena,etc. I been playing against them so much now that nothing really surprises me anymore. Its an uphill batte for sure, but nowhere near as bad as fighting MOB and uber KAKs. Plus I'm undecided on my aspirations for this game....whether I really want to work on being the 'best' players, or the 'best' Sheeva/Reptile/whoever player. I've put in alot of time already considering I've only had the game for 2 weeks and I never played any previous 3d MK game competitvely. Honestly I'm cool with just being a mid tier-character user for now. There are some things inherent in this game/engine that really irk me (lack of throw breaks, shoddy hit detection on some attacks, etc) and keep me from really wanting to excel at the game. It seems to be more based on 50/50 mixup guessing than the actual strategy I'm used to from Tekken/SC/VF4, etc. So who knows...
Anyway I wrote alot and I need to study. GGs and thanks for the advice/props again. Peace.

Bronze, low punches and most low slashes are parryable. It's only the low kicks that you can't parry.

Kabal and Mavado's U+2 low slash isn't parryable. I was heated as shit because I tryed to parry that so much thinkin that it was like most weapon slashes
So when fightin against Kabal or Mavado, be aware that you can't parry that damn shit. Its kinda gay, cause it cost me a number of matches. >_<
Ight...GGs to Ball Sac,Versa,Rs Liu,Riu(One of the best online),and Subzero2...even though you came up with a lame ass excuse that you were cooking some shrimp, which i do believe, you are still better off not saying that .
