Mortal Kombat will never end. We thought Mortal Kombat was dead with MK4... Luckily, We were wrong.

I dont think it will be the last. If there was a last game, every single character should be playable. And it should have some big war were many of them die. Kinda like an armaggedon. So yeah. That should be the last game idea.

MK is way to popular to end now. I honestly dont see it stoping anytime soon. Plus, judging from the fact that they hinted we havnt seen the last of kahn, i'm more than certain we will be seeing future MK's. I hope MK never ends.

Alot of people thought this about mk4 and mk:da as well. The game had good sales with MK:DA, and this game will propel the series to front of the pack. Midway will obviously want to capitalized on this, and make another game.... Maybe a more accurate question would be..... mk:d last game of mk on the current consoles.

I doubt they're stop making Mortal Kombat after Deception. The MK series one of the few (if not only) true money makers Midway has right now.

I don't think I can agree there, old friend. I'd say MK2/MK3/UMK3 was the big peak. I mean, MK was everrrryyyyyyywhere, movies, shows, clothes, toys, etc.

I don't think MKD will be the last MK but it will probably be the last one out for years to come seeings as they have spent all of this time creating and perfecting the game engine they are working with in MKDA and MKD.

well think about it everyone dies at one time or another so when boon and tobias die the franchise comes to an end or if he has someone to take his place like a son or something than possibly the franchise will survive

Tobias hasnt been involved with MK for quite a long time now so that is irrelavent anyhow.

If Boon does leave Midway though, would the game continue? I'd like to think that it would, but it just wouldn't have the 'Boon' touch.

I personally believe that the MK series will be around for many years to come. It will only stop when the Video Game industry dies itself.

it will probably come out around 2008 cause if you notice that the mk games did not come out until there were quite a few games for the systems so i fear we may have to wait longer.why dont we just wait untill mk6 comes out before we talk about mk7

Most likely the franchise will continue.Other video game characters have had their creators retire,like Kirby,and are still known today as famous video game characters.The Kirby franchise is still going on so why not the MK franchise?
