No so now my broke arse has to go get an X-Box. Irritated YES cause I'm gonna get the X-Box for one friggin game and in a year they're gonna be announcing and/or releasing the next gen systems. What a friggin rip off. BITTER!!!
You dont have to get an Xbox, you could get a PS2. And if you get an Xbox, you can play games like Ninja Gaiden, DOA3, DOAu, SVC Chaos, and Halo 2.

I'm just annoyed that I have to buy a whole new system right before the next gen systems come out. But at least I'll have peeps here that I can get game suggestions from for the X-Box. I don't think I want a PS2 cause I heard, from a friend that owns both, that the X-box has a better look for the gameplay. Hey any feedback from my MKO family on which is better is always welcome.

So do I, good isn't it? Just as a personal bit of information, X Box can suck it. As for the reason that MK isn't coming out for Gamecube, Nintendo sold all of their stocks of Rare because Rare was charging ridiculous prices for producing their games. Rare is a coproducer of MK: D and so, GC gets the shaft. Yes, I'm disappointed because I have MK: DA for Gamecube. Now I'm gonna have to relearn the controls for a different system.

No, it isn't. Rare has absolutely nothing to do with MK:D.

You have absolutely no more credibility on this site. That was the stupidest comment I've ever seen.

If you hate reading threads like this... DONT READ THEM!!!

I have to go with Greenroom, It really sucks that we have to buy a game system that we didn't want in the first place so that we can play one game.

I don't care about all the other games for that platform, i just want to play mkd and it suck that i have to pay for yet another platform.

MKD isn't coming out on Gamecube for the simple reason that Midway doesn't find it to be a profitable platform, especially not for the "mature oriented" nature of Mortal Kombat.

I know, I know, Gamecube isn't neccessarily kiddy, but this is the view of the companies, not me.

Add to this that Midway are in some financial trouble right now, and it's a perfectly understandable decision. Sad, but true. I hope that clears stuff up for you.

Oh and hello everyone, this is my first post on this forum. You seem like great people and I look forward to enjoying your company.

Actually, I'm only buy myself an XBox for MKD. I was playing MKDA on my step brother's XBox, but he's such an annoying git, so I'll take $150 and get an XBox.

If it's any consolation, the Xbox is a great machine with a great library of games. It's actually my favourite console of the current generation, even though I love my Cube and PS2 for their strengths respectively.

How about you just dont read them then, this isnt a board about what threads you want to see, its about all Mortal Kombat fans, and it is a good place to vent your frustrations about if its MK related.

As for the MKD on gamecube, I also am frustrated by that since I own a gamecube. The gamecube has the abiliy to have MKD but not the credibility since a lot of companies are jumping off the gamecube, which is kinda sad. Anyways I guess I do understand in a way but it still really irks me that I have to buy another system, broadband, headset, and keyboard to enjoy MKD when I am not made of a whole lot of money and when the PS3 will be on the horizon soon. Oh well, at least its an excuse to also buy Resident Evil Outbreak.

Ya, I agree. It's very odd of Midway to not release this MK on the GC. I have also thought of buying a used PS2 from EB Games but I think I'm gonna play it first to make sure it's worth all that friggin investment. But anyway, what concerns me is that with all the reports of Midway financial losses it would seem that the only game title they have left to hope for some profit is Mortal Kombat Deception. And if it fails, which I'm sure even if it only had 2 characters and a hidden pong game it would still sell a million copies, they will have to sell out. Maybe then, someone with a kewl vision of the Mortal Kombat franchise will pick it up and revitalize it. Take into consideration that Soul Calibur 2 sales on Gamcube led the way over the other 2 consoles 2 weeks after it's release.

I guess Nintendo fans just know a good game when they play it. smile

God-FUCKING-Damnit! AberzX is RIGHT! THE FUCKING GAMECUBE DISC IS TOO DAMN SMALL! This is MUCH larger than size than Deadly Alliance, and even that was heavy.

Other features, such as online play, aren't necessarily the best on Gamecube.

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FINANCE OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. IT INVOLVES THE GAMECUBE HARDWARE.

Completely correct. The gamecube disc couldn't hold this game, or it would have to be two discs, and that's a pain. Also, there's no online play on gamecube because Nintendo has no clue what the hell they are doing with their stuff. The nintendo president said that "People don't want to play online games." WHAT THE HELL IS HE TALKING ABOUT!!! Those are the reasons why it isn't on the gamecube.
