Thinking of the number of people (at least that i know) that will actually buy a PC version of MK:D just to play it online scares me. Probably this will also hugely increase the future MK online communities. What do you think , should MK:D finnaly go for PCs as well ?

seems like this topic gets ressurrected every now and then

anyway no i dont think the PC is suited to fighting games regardless of whether or not they have online play

not everyone will have the same hardware and then you need a good controller , plus you wont be playing it with buds since the PC isnt very multi player friendly fo rhaving buds over

so no its a bad idea for a PC port and they wont bother making one

I think the PC is the best platform for gaming you can get, although it's not a dedicated (or usually isn't) platform like the consoles.

Think of it: if a game runs slow for your pace you can always upgrade your hardware and play it faster/better, something you can't do with a console (well you can only do it in a PC to some extent but you get the point); if you don't like the controls you can always redefine it completely and arrange the keys layout that best suit your style/physionomy (in a console you can redefine what the buttons do but you have a limited set of buttons and can't really change their physical layout unless you buy a new controller); in a PC you have a cheaper, more stable and faster network access; you can always customize your game in a PC in a way you can't with a console (search Google for game mods and you'll find tons for virtually any popular game);

So, is the PC suitable for fighting games?! Yes, the PC is suitable for ANY game. Can Midway see that? No, probably because PC games are more affected by piracy than console games which does obviously suck for Midway.

MK's 1-4 were released on PC, i think thats good enough reason for MKDA and MKD to be on it!. I love playing fighting games on PC (if only there were a few more) And online fighting games would be great. Alot of people complain that you can't play fighting games with keyboards, i'd rather play with a keyboard anyday over a gamepad!!

Sadly piracy seems to be the reason it won't ever happen sad

I would love to see a pc version of MKD.. but everybody says piracy kills pc-games.. but I think nowadays games from every console are being copied.. not just pc anymore.. they're just to easy to come by.. (that's just my opinion) I think it's not a reason why MKD will not be ported to pc.. (maybe we'll have to wait for a PS2emulator wink) the awkward thing is that MK was an arcade jewel.. but they don't make them into arcade games anymore.. (MKDA and MKD (or not that I heard of..)

Don't you actually need some hardware changes on a PS2/XBOX for copied games to work? I have no idea since I haven't got a console since the Genesis/Mega Drive but I was under the impression that you needed some sort of hardware modification to make copied games work with those consoles. That makes piracy a bit harder for consoles, but in the PC it's always easy to download whatever game you want...

Sell the game with a USB controler like the xbox controller.

In fact, the xbox controller is a USB controller. The Connector is just a different shape.

nowadays you don't even need a hardware modification anymore.. with those swapdisks and all.. and xbox with the HD's so it's just no use.. everything can be pirated.. and you say pc isn't good for fighting games.. I like playing the arcade games on my pc.. and MK4 and all.. it's 'different' that's true, but certainly not bad..

99% of my gaming (when time permits) is done on the PC. I only play PS2 for Mortal Kombat and EA's NHL series. Fighting games do not belong on the PC. If anything, the PC gets ripped off because the game is ported from the console version and doesn't make full use of the hardware in a pc.

The PC is also lacking a good controller. There was some "adapter" that enabled the use of a PS2 controller on the pc, but it was horribly buggy in some games and not compatible with others when I last checked.

Keep it on the console and fine tune it for the console.

They might bring it on the PC too.
This is what I got from Midway to my answer if they will port it to the PC:

Thank you for contacting Midway Games. We are considering porting some
of our games to PC, but no word on which games. Keep an eye on our
website for more details. www.midway.com

I think if they, release some games on the PC than Mortal Kombat Deception will be under this games, because it is their most famous game.
