Hi everyone. I'd like to make a list of all of the fighting styles from the GBA version of MK:DA just like what my pal nindz did with the styles from the GC/PS2/X-Box version of MK:DA. Aikido: 6.5

I'll first talk about Shang Tsung's fighting styles since he's first on the select screen.

Snake: His Snake style is relatively fast, but it lacks kick moves. It is mostly of hand moves and I didn't find that many of them that useful. I like using --> + B the most.

Crane: Strangely enough, this style is actually a bit SLOWER than Snake in this version of MK:DA. However, it has more useful moves than Snake. While Snake has mostly hand moves, Crane has more kick/foot moves. The roundhouse (--> + A) and pop-up kick (Up + A) are the two most useful moves in this style.

At least Shang's weapon attacks and morphing abilities make up for his lack of useful moves in Snake and lack of speed in Crane.

Thanks. It's a very well done game, but Nintendo should have been smart by putting 4 buttons on the face of the GBA so that the game can have more attacks. I'm glad that the buttons aren't really punch and kick, but rather attack 1 and attack 2. I can't wait for MK:TE!

Well now I'll talk about Kenshi's styles, Tai Chi and San Shao (San Shou in the big versions)

Tai Chi is a pretty decent style that has some pretty decent moves such as the launcher (--> + B), the + A roundhouse is slower and less useful) and the slap you upwards move (
At first, I didn't really like San Shao that much, but when I used it some more, it actually turned out to be a decent style like Tai Chi. This style is relatively slower than Tai Chi, but there are more useful kick moves. He kind of has a little pop-up uppercut move (Up + B) and he has a pop-up high kick (--> + A). His punch moves are somewhat decent but he doesn't have a launcher like in Tai Chi.

Overall, both these decent styles get a 7. I also use Kenshi's weapon attacks and yes, just like the big versions, Kenshi's weapon attacks are the same as Scorpion's. *shurgs* Perhaps in the next MK game, his second style will be some sort of Ninjutsu or Taijutsu or maybe just something like Bushido, Kenjutsu. The reason why I want one of these styles to belong to him in the next MK game is because his weapon is a Katana. (However, according to the Konquest info, Kenshi is mixed European and Chinese and the Katana is from Japan.)

Well I didn't exactly play MKDA that much. I only played it once over at my pal's house. I used Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Raiden and some others. I'm not sure how to compare the styles from the console version to the GBA version, but there are similarities such as Sub's uppercuts in Shotokan and slash move in Dragon while Scorp's Hapkido was fast and quite useful and Pi Gua had the bitch-slapping attacks that I love to use.

Well since that Nintendo wasn't smart enough to put 4 buttons on the face of the GBA, there is only attack 1 (B) and attack 2 (A) along with the change style button (L) and the block button (R). The start button was pause/unpause. So after all that's said and done, the characters didn't have any powerup moves or reversals. But just like the console versions, you have to be very strategic and make sure you learn how to master your character (I'm good with Sub-Zero's Shotokan). I must say that playing as any of the characters in MK:DA was tough because I had to get used to all the buttons on the PS2. Like I said before, there were many similarities in the moves such as Sub's Shotokan uppercut and Scorp's Pi Gua bitch-slapping attacks. But more specificly, I noticed that Sub's Shotokan in the console was Up + 2 while in the GBA it was
