Now, I'm sure some (if not most) you know how I feel about MK:DA. While this board was undergoing some revamps (still can't decide whether I like it more than I dislike it), I stumbled upon the OLD MK5.org site (when it was still a part of Gamers) and found an old thread I created due to the INCREDIBLE hype surrounding the next MK game (take into consideration that I wrote this ALMOST A FULL YEAR BEFORE the game was finally released. Also, the nick I USED to have was Ciega). Check it out:

Like almost everybody else here in this board, I've been a huge fan of the MK series ever since it began so many years ago...the first one shocked me...the blood, the realistic fighters (comparing them to the SF characters) and of course the Fatalities...the second one wowed me by making everything from the first game even better....and when the third game came out, sure I was excited as hell, but eventually (as I'm sure many would agree), the fun wore off.....when UMK3 came out, all they did was add more, but the game was basically the same...you could say they put in some classic characters to make up for the crappy new guys (*cough Stryker cough Nightwolf cough*)....MKT was fun because of the ability to (according to them) ''play with every fighter, in every stage''..we all know that wasn't 100% accurate...and when MK4 and MKG came out, yeah, I got it as soon as it came out, but I sold it soon after... My point is this.....MK5 will come out, and many of you guys have HUGE EXPECTATIONS for this game.....but others (like myself) are waiting for it, but after 2 games where I was disappointed, I don't want to be let down again....this board is "THE VOICE OF MK5''....but what if, when that game comes out, "THE VOICE OF THE FANS'' is ''This sucks!!''....so stop hoping that this game will be the best ever and that it will restore the series to its glory...I really hope it does, but ever since MK3, I've separated my dreams from reality when it comes to MK.

Actually, I have heard of that word, Acjbizar, but there's a difference between ''positive thinking'' and being ''narrow-minded''....by that I mean, if you're a positive thinker (which is what I'm SUGGESTING everybody should be), you would say to yourself "Wow, MK5 is only ___ days away!! I HOPE the game is great and that it trully is the revolutionary game it claims to be, but there's a slim chance that it isn't''.....while a narrow-minded person would say ''MK5 RULZZZZ!!! I HAVEN'T EVEN PLAYED IT BUT I KNOW THAT IT WILL BE THE BEST GAME IN THE HISTORY OF THIS WORLD!!! THERE WILL BE NOTHING WRONG WITH THE GAME AND ALL GAMES WILL BOW DOWN TO ITS SUPERIORITY'', which is something I've read in MANY posts here.
The reason I'm putting this is because I had totally forgotten that I had written that and IN MY PERSONAL OPINION (and in the opinion of others), MK:DA didn't live up to the hype, and I don't want the same kind of stuff to happen when the next one comes out.
