Oh, now doesn't this look fun. It would appear you have to buy MK Deception from EB games in order to be able to play as Scorpion.

I certainly hope this is just an EB Games site fuckup, or I am protesting this game out-right.

All that means that the KE packaging is gonna have Scorpion on it and the serialized card is gonna be Scorpion too.

Look on the site. It clearly reads "Exclusive Playable Character - Scorpion"

Typo error... they talk about the fighter who appears in cover (read the referring news to exclusive editions).

Bad wording. They're referring to the packaging.

Scorpion is one of Ed Boon's favorite characters, he will be in every version of MK Deception, whether you buy it on PS2 or Xbox, from Walmart, Target, KB, Toys R Us, EB, Gamestop etc.

After they pulled MK1 from Midway Arcade Treasures 2 in order to add incentive to buying Mortal Kombat: Deception Over Priced Version... Those totally fucking over GameCube owners as Nintendo fans will now never get a perfect version of MK1...

Yes, it seemed like something fucking Midway would do.

Well that's too damn bad for GameCube owners, isn't it? Stop your whining, X-Box is, right now, the superior gaming system on the market.

Even Nintendo considers the Gamecube a secondary or tertiary system in most of their households in the US. If you only own a GC, better luck at picking a console next round.
