Lets see....

I would have to say the biggest factors MK: Deception isn't coming to gamecube is that given the fact that most Gamcube's install base doesn't have a modem adapter since gamecube only has 2 games online. With one of the key features of MK: Deception is being able to go online, it is logicial to Midway ( I bet) not to put MK: Deception on GC since wouldn't have sold well compared to its online enabled counter parts on PS2 and Xbox. Also Gamecube in general 3rd party games on Gamecube don't do that well on gamecube. I have MK: DA on Gamecube, I was dissapointed that it wasn't come to the system. Lucky I have a PS2 as well. There have been rumors that Midway has MK: D in the planning stages. Only a rumor though.

What the fuck!? Tony Hawk Underground for PS2 was the only one of the 3 versions where you can put your face on the skateboarder and i think it was the only version online but the 2nd THUG is still coming out for all 2 systems! Thee must be a better reason!

There is. The Gamecube's disc space is too small.

I'll also add that the Gamecube is "dying" (which it isn't) for a lot of manufacturers, so they won't put things on the Gamecube in fear of losing sales.

I don't think memory has to do with it. Compression on gamecube as with any other system can fit any game one it. Its all about profit. Midway won't take a risk of not getting profit back from the Gamecube version, without the online features, as well of gamecube history with 3rd party sales.

I shot an e-mail out to Midway asking about this. They said that there were numerous factors to this decision, namely being the low sales on GC, as well as some "technical" issues, which I assume would be the disc space.

The chances of it coming out on GC on PAL systems I'd say are slim to none. I'll be having a look at system prices and may invest in an XBox or PS2 in the not-too-distant future to play the game.

Alas poor Gamecube... I fear it may go the way of the Dreamcast... I wonder if Nintendo can be on top again? Xbox is catching up to PS2 bit by bit... how will the next generation of systems fair for Nintendo I wonder... hmmm... well hopefully MK7 will be on there and a better fighting system is implemented on the new generation of systems... later

The next gen won't be much different than the current ones. The human eye cannot pic up anymore than 128bit graphics anyway.

If your talking about sales, the GC and Xbox are neck to neck. Xbox is no where near to the PS2 compared to sale. I don't see GC as a failure, since its still doing well, just lack of 3rd party.

Weeeell, Gamecube is regarded as the worst of the three platforms at the moment, and it has a lack of online games, plus the controller is too complicated for a lot of fighting games (i rented DA for GC and I couldn't win Konquest because of all the buttons scattered around), I kno thats a bad reason, but the other 2 are valid.

I think the only reason is the lack of internet. I myself own one and think it's bullshit what people say about it having 'kid games only'. Sure, there are a lot of them, but they have alse released every resident evil game, metroid prome, MK: DA, and probably a lot of other games filled with gore. As for it failing, that's also false. I think it has better games than X Box (Tell me one good game for X Box that isn't also on something else).

Game Cube isn't going to have MK: Deception on it because it isn't part of Midway's plan. Midway expects the Mortal Kombat franchise to go online and Game Cube does not have that feature.

It would cost more money and more time to create a version of MK: Deception with a non internet capability.

Game Cube has some great titles coming out soon. I can't wait to play the new games that come out later on this year and early next year.

Metroid Prime 2

Legend Of Zelda

Resident Evil 4

Star Fox

The new Donkey Kong game that lets you bang congas, Nintendo is nowhere near dying out.

Recently in an interview, Midway said that they were not satisfied with the performance of MKDA for Gamecube compared to the Xbox and PS2 versions of MKDA. They also said that the disk space is to small.

I think The MKD special edition game (The MK6 equivalent of UMK, MKG, and MKTE) will be on game cube. Because Game cube doesn't have the online capabilities, and probably doesn't have the room for all of the modes, they will release a version of Deception with more characters to give Game Cube fans something; that's just my two cents though.

I thought through what i said and for anyone who says great minds think alike, I say you're full of shit. Activision/Neversoft(whichever was in charge for Tony Hawk Underground online) had online for PS2 and Xbox only but they are still going to make the sequel for all 3 and only Xbox and PS2 are online.By the way, the only way i would pay 70 bucks a month for an online game, if the game was 16 players like Halo 2 or something but for anyone who is gonna buy Xbox Live only for MK6, you're either a rich, spoiled piece of shit or you're lying
