nah, I think they just ''assumed'' it would be R rated, since it's MK. Or Midway announced it would be R rated. I guess we'll never know.
#1--it's rated "M" by the ESRB, which rates all games.
#2--they will not rate a game until it is mostly completed.
#3--where did you come up with rated "R," or Midway announcing it would be rated "R"? Video games aren't rated that way. As I said, even with the recent announcement that MKTE won't be relesed until September 30, the game most be almost done.
#4--a video game company can't rate their own games. Only the ESRB does that anymore.
