What's the connections between these two anyway? Here's my opinion.
Supposedly Darkseid is the son of Yuga Khan. I mentioned before that this could easily be linked with the likes of Shao Kahn. Name spelling aside. Could these big bosses be long lost brothers or relatives atleast? It can't be just a coinsidence. If so, this would mean that the two would plan to take over the earth(earthrealm)by forming an alliance. Just like MKDA.
As for the whole DarkKhan idea. I really think it's just a new randition of the NoobSmoke teamup. NoobSmoke were two seperate characters....not fused together. You would get control of Shao Kahn and Darkseid, like a tag team. Switch between characters on the fly or during combos. Most likely that would be how the final boss fight goes.

I think you are wrong. They will be merged into one being as was stated 1000000 times already.
