MK vs DCs first week competition

I thought this would be a nice way to see just what MK vs DC has to contend with the first week. For the longest time MK vs DC had a tentative release of 11/10. That was obviously pushed back to a more strategic 11/16. I say strategic due to the fact that had it stayed on this particular week, it would have faced the likes of Call of Duty World at War, Mirror's Edge(very hyped game), Smackdown vs Raw 09(say what you want, wwe wrestling games still sell like the sport is as popular as ever), and not to mention the leviathan that ultimatly will be Gears of War 2.
Having the game release the following week is a good/bad idea. The good of it is that they effectivly avoid the major competition, but at the same time, the industry fully expects Gears and Call of Duty to be sales juggernauts, so Midway may have placed their game in the exact week that everyone is broke after buying Gears and Call of Duty.
Let's see what Midway (mk vs dc) has to face the week of the 16th
Shaun White Snowboarding(multi plat)
Left 4 Dead(360/PC)
NCAA Basketball '09(multi plat)
Need for Speed Undercover(multi plat)
Naruto The Broken Bond(360)
Tomb Raider Underworld(multi plat)
The Last Remnant(360)
*Note the releases are tentative and subject to change, and this is the 360 list from gamestop. Also, the PS3's release schedule isn't loaded with exclusives for the week like the 360(left 4 dead, naruto, last remnant) so it's basically the same multi plat releases. Also, there are a 1 or 2 more multi plat releases, but nothing I (IMO) would consider huge threats to the week.
The deal breakers here could be Need 4 Speed and Naruto(hits the same market MK vs DC is after).
NCAA will likely sell rediculously(sports games usually do). Left 4 Dead doesn't really have spectacular hype surrounding it, but could prove to be a a nice seller.
The extreme sports genre can be very niche, so SW Snowboarding could do great, or fall flat on it's face(games like these usually live and die by the reviews).
The Tomb Raider franchise has lost steam over the years, but after a well received return, could do pretty well.
RPG's are popping up all over the place on the 360 lately, not sure if Fable II and fallout 3 will still have the rpg players busy.
The PS3 crowd is not to be forgotten here. Some big ps3 exclusives have come out, or will have released before this week(Little Big Planet, Motorstorm 2, Resistance 2) so PS3 gamers could be looking for something to play that week. MK vs DC may benefit from this.
Also something to keep in mind. Midway is apparently looking to have the game on shelves ON the 16th. The other games on my list are officially released the 18th(or slightly later). Hitting the week a couple days early could give Midway a nice advantage.
There it is, how (in your eyes) do you think MK vs DC will fare given the competition.

As far as the PS3 is concerned the only real competition the game has is Resistance 2, I honestly don't think this game is going to be a breakout hit right out of the gate, its gonna take some solid good reviews and press from the mainstream media to sell the game to masses.
