This is my opinion on all the females of Mk:
Sonya:
God, this is the original chick of the game! Sonya is one of the very few characters that have been around in every tournament since Mk1. She has evolved to become one of the most powerful characters of the series. Just look at MkDA, she is a Top Tier among the strongest male characters, and being the strongest female as well.
Her Fatalities and special moves are just excellent and she has a decent storyline. This has to be the most known chick in the world of Mk. Her look has also evolved to resemble the tough, rough, mean, sarcastic Sonya we love (plus she is the only blond). She shows woman can truly take care for themselves with out being the typical weak fighters we see in games.
This chick has personality; she is simply one of the most important chosen heroes to represent earth in battle, and a main weapon for the group.
Sonya is a must for Mk6, Mk wouldnt be the same with out her (and her leg grab!).
Nitara:
Since day one, when her promo pictures were released, players of Mk around the globe agreed that Nitara had to be one of the best new characters, and they were right. Even though there are many who didnt like the Vampire idea, the majority loved her character design and story.
She has lots of potential for future games, had a cool fatality, the strongest combos, and what can I say, she is simply one excellent character that cant be thrown and forgotten.
The vampire idea has such potential that I wouldnt be surprised to se her comeback in Mk6 along side a male vampire, to fight at the side of good or evil.
Kitana:
She is another classic chick that must return. Kitana was sadly a low tier in MKDA, but there are many other things that make her an excellent character. She has one of the best costumes of the game (the mask and long hair kick ass!), an excellent weapon fighting style, and a great storyline. I loved her steel fans, one of the best weapons.
Kitanas fighting abilities will be improved in Mk6 (we hope) and she will have a strong comeback. She is simply a must for Mk6, a classic chick with a great storyline that can evolve in some very unexpected ways.
Mileena:
This has to be one of the characters with the best storyline in the world of Mk. Mileena is a must. Havent you noticed Kitana isnt the same without her evil clone twin?
Mileena has some great special moves and fatalities that can be improved, as well as her story, it doesnt have to keep being the same (murder the twin), but she must keep her evil ugly nature.
Mileena is a classic with lots of potential. I really hope we see more of her in future Mks!
Sindel:
Talking about characters with potential, this has to be another one! She, like Mileena, has one of the best storylines in the history of Mk! Her character design was just awesome in Mk3, I remember talking about her as the Dead Gothic Witch. Sindel had excellent moves and some very cool fatalities. Her scream, her hair and her flying abilities made this chick one my faves.
She has to be one of the best New characters that came in Mk3, she was even supposed to have an appearance in MKDA, but sadly, time didnt allowed it. I hope we get to see more Sindel, she is one of the best characters Ive seen in Mk.
Frost:
I think Frost was a great character. I really liked her story, her ending, plus, she had one awesome fatality and cool special moves. Many seem to love her as much as many seem to dislike her. I personally think Frost should return, she didnt really bring anything new to the world of Mk, but her ending brought up many speculations to what me might get to see in Mk6. (Note, I'm not one of those who look at her like a Sub-Zero rip off, cause she is not)
I think her story should evolve in some evil-nature. Maybe she could secretly turn her back on the Lin Kei and join forces with some one who wants Sub-Zero dead as much as her (Mavado? Sektor?) but later, she could either realize that power isnt important and help Sub in battle or die in the attempt to control the amulet by the hands her evil friends or Sub-Zero himself.
Li Mei:
She had an excellent character concept design look, great styles and very cool special moves. But Li Mei seemed to be one of those one time characters like Hsu Hao. I though she was great, she could very well return, but I dont think she is very important in the storyline unless its improved, like, something about her past is some kind of key her people know to defeat the Dragon King.
I would personally like to see her return, but dead, inside the body of one of the Dragon Kings soldiers, and fight her that way. I think the same way about she and Frost.
Sheeva:
Sheeva was just awesome. I really liked her, she has to be one of the best characters of Mk3. She had extremely powerful and fast combos, great special moves and cool fatalities, also, a very good storyline. But she has been already stated to be dead.
So, I dont think she should return, I would like her too, but she just inst THAT important to elaborate some way of bringing her back from the dead. It worked perfectly with Johnny Cage and Sindel, its boring with Scorpion, but its just not necessary for Sheeva.
I wouldnt mind to see her back, and if she is, I only hope they give her a very good reason. (Maybe she didnt die, like, she got impaled by Kahn right?, and how many times do we impale characters in MKDA and they are still fighting the same?)
Jade:
I really liked her special moves, fatalities, story and weapon in Mk. But I dont think we actually need Jade. She was just like Mileena and Kitana, and I think that these 2 are already enough. I say bring back Jade, only IF, and ONLY IF Mileena or Kitana dont come back.
Jade was great, but I think we need more new females and only SOME of the classics to return. I think some other chick could take Jades place and do a better job then she did in the story of Mk. Also, if she is to comeback, she MUST have a new look, quite different from the one she always shared with Kitana or Mileena. She can still have the mask, but make her more original.
Khameleon:
I dont think we will see more of her, and its not really a big deal, she was just another Jade, Kitana and Mileena. BUT, she did have a very interesting story and ending, not like Chameleon. She was even mentioned in MKDA as a leader of Reptiles group or something, and I think she was later killed by Kahn, I dont remember.
But if she was to return, I can only think they should give her a reptilian look NOT like Reptile, but human. Something like they did to Reptile in Mk4. But other then that, she is not needed.
Tanya:
I actually thought she had a cool story. I liked her evil nature and she had a cool costume. She was even a Top Tier in Mk4 with fast moves. But, she is just another one of those chicks that we dont need. Someone else could take her place and do a better job.
Sareena:
She looks awesome in MKTE and her story seems to be very interesting. For once, Im interested to know more of the story of Sub-Zero. I want to know what will happen to his character with Sareena involved. I think she should be in Mk6.
In conclusion, the MUST are:

Kitana
Mileena
