These are just some ideas of how a stage fatlity could be performed in MK6. Remember, they could not be implemented in MK: DA in time because of massive errors, which we're hoping that can be fixed for MK6. There are several ways that people would like to see them done.

First off, what will the ring out cause? Will it end the current round and go to the next one, or will it end the match regardless of what round it's on? I'll let you decide that yourselves.

1. Anytime ring-out (damage). Like it says, these can be done at any time, without a protective barrier. Go over, and you'll get damaged. The only way this would work fully is for arenas that allow you to escape the outside and return to the ring.

2. Anytime ring-out (finish). Like the previous, except you cannot get back into the ring, and whatever you hit on the outside kills you instantly.

3. Pressure-sensitive barrier. This is how it was supposed to be in MK: DA. The barrier on the outside would take only so much damage before it would be destroyed, allowing for a ring-out to be possible. When the barrier breaks, it could either allow the person against it to go out immediately, or would stagger them for one more it, and possibly allow for a quick turn of tables for the intended victim to send his opponent out instead.

4. One round barrier. The barrier would only last for one round, and at the start of the 2nd round, would vanish and be gone, allowing for the ring-out. This would work best if the ring-out were meant to end the match and not just the round, as at least one round is guaranteed.

5. Finish Him ring-out. The barrier will be active until the end of the match, when Finish Him is called, at which point the barrier will disappear and the stage fatality can be performed. One catch to this, is that you have to have your opponent close enough to the edge already, and hit him/her with a powerful blow that would send them out.

That's all I can think of right now. You can choose, mix-n-match these, your call. Let everyone (including Midway) know what you think.

Well Mr. Bunny, I like some of your ideas such as the pressure sensitive barrier and a few others. There should be ring outs that deal with lava/fire, acid, spikes, water with deadly sea beasts, toxic goo, and maybe a few other things. I don't think that all of the kombat zones should have ring outs but I would like all of them to have at least a bit of exploration and interaction.

i want to see ring outs..but not in the "classic" mk fight. if there were a tournament mode (after all, mk was orginally a tournament) then the matches could have ring outs. cause it would take place on a platform of some sort..like in blood sport.

some arenas in arcade mode and vs mode (or others?) could have a few ring outs. i would like it if you could go anywhere in the arena. like shangs palace..you have this little circle to fight in..and you can see a long ways in the back ground..i wanna be able to go there..so make the arenas bigger.

so rings outs: yes....jsut not in every arena. and pb, i liked you ideas. if there are multiple arenas that have the ring out, then maybe each arena could have a different way od doing it..or just config it in the options menu.

I like the idea of the characters having their own little 'protective barrier.' What I mean is, they have their own unique way of staying inside of the ring. Take Scorpion for example, if he's forced over the edge, he could use his spear and shoot it into something and pull himself back up so he wouldn't fall.

Sub-Zero could make an ice bridge form underneath him so he wouldn't fall out.

What are some of ya'lls ideas?

I Like the ideas purple bunny has, i would have the ring outs ending the match, you could kick an opponent through a wall for example, kicking someone through the wall would lead to a spike pit or something, but the wall would also be protected by a barrier, the barrier can't be seen or detected in any other way and it disappears and re-appears randomly throughout the match, you wouldn't know if you or your opponent would end up through the wall or not, different variations of this could work for indoor arenas i'm not to sure about outdoor ones.
