Mk6 Story endings
In MK4 and MK Gold the endings were actual fmv sequences, but in MK: DA there was screenshots with Raiden's voice over. I liked the mk4 and gold's better because you could watch it and not have to listen to Raiden's storytelling.
Which do you like better, which should be in MK6, and what else could maek the endings worth beating the games?

I would prefer a full motion video ending, it looks way cooler, but i don't want it at the expense of gameplay etc...
I think full motion endings are a great way of rewarding a finished battle.

yay movie endings would be great, but if it takes from the actual game itself, then ill seddle with pic endings.
Im thinking maybe they didnt make it as good as MK4 because of the time contraints, or the budget (that I dont know) or maybe MK:DA was an introductory game to what is to come, we never know it could be done for MK6, id like to see an ending. I mean funny how they speak of the dragon king who was no where to be seen in MK:DA I think it was an intro... so again we may see those wonderful animated endings

MK is all about the pic story endings, it's classic MK. I personally enjoy them. Besides, it takes time to create and render that shit, time that could be devoted to tuning the mechanics of the game.
I would like to see the pic endings/story to continue, but I would love to see them done in a different medium; such as pastels, oils, hell even ink or charcoal would be hella sweet!

Agree, in addition the Soul Calibur 2 is considered best beat em up game and his endings is images without color.

I think that the ending for a game is a very important, if not vital part of a video game. A perfect ending is like the icing on the cake. An ending should be so great and innovative, that it will make gamers come to tears for how perfect the game was.
I like the idea of full FMV endings in MK6. But they have got to clean it up. The sound was never very pleasing to me, both for MK4 (especially MK4), and MKDA. The animations were not warm and fluid enough as they are in games like Soul Calibur, Final Fantasy, Tekken, or even Virtua Fighter has more spirit to it's animations that MK has thus far.
I don't know exactly what it takes to bring that kind of ever-lasting, addicting feel into animation, but I think that Midway should really strive for it. Not just for MK, but for all of their games. That type of feeling is why FF is now going on to #12 with sells still going strong on one game. That's what makes sequels last for decades with very little wavering.
I was playin MK:DA yesterday and I realized at the beginning when it shows Shao Kahn and Liu dyin and the deadly alliances resurrecting the army, etc. Raiden still was narrating along with the fmv. For those who thought Raiden's narrating was good, what if the stories ended like the opening of MK:DA? Would you accept that over Picture endings?
