Flames fill the screen and we listen to heavy breathing and the sounds of footsteps. Title appears:

FUJIN’S SHRINE

Fujin meditates and in his visions he sees Kung Loa and his enemy Shang-Tsung fighting.

FUJIN:
For eons the balance of good and evil in the realms are the results of the wars fought in Mortal Kombat. Throughout the ages warriors of earth have fought to defeat those who pose as a threat to the safety of the earth. In recent events we lost many allies and friends to the alliance created by the sorcerers Quan-Chi and Shang Tsung. Near the final battle a great sense of power could be felt emerging from the ruined Incubation Chamber of the Dragon King. Long at last our new foe had returned. But in the form of an unexpected host

INCUBATION CHAMBER

Suddenly bursting from the flames we see a shadowed figure. He runs through the fire, his feet burning from the inferno but it does not stop him.

The creature heads through one tunnel, then another. As the thing runs faster we see it heading towards a large bridge.

Unable to keep his balance the creature falls but he clings onto the walls of stone around him and projects himself off and lands on a platform.

FUJIN:
Following the vampire Nitara into the Incubation Chamber an enraged Reptile uncovered the ancient Dragon Egg. Unable to escape the blinding light emitting from the egg Reptile was overtaken and transformed.

Reptile falls to his knees and his eyes burn with fire as a bright light covers his entire body. His armor breaks as he grows in size becoming all muscular and his squeals and his slithering become deeper and turn to roars.

Once the light has faded Reptile rises and in his new form, now a Dragon humanoid, he looks above and on the ceiling is a picture of a monster touching the egg and then it changes into a different more powerful being.

FUJIN:
With his newfound powers and the Dragon King’s soul burning inside of him his first intention was simple

LOST TOMB

Reptile stands before the resurrected army of mummified men and they bow to him.

FUJIN:
Taking back his mighty Dragon Army

CASTLE OF EDENIA

The army now stands outside of the castle of Edenia where a worried Kitana watches from her tower. Hundreds of Edenia’s knights stand on top of the walls with bow and arrows.

FUJIN:
And the destruction of Edenia.

REPTILE:
ATTACK!!!!!!!!!!

The legion of the Dragon Army rushes towards the castle and block the arrows with their swords. As they reach the gates they cut down knight after knight of the castle guards. The knights begin to retreat but cannot escape.

Not too far away Reptile swings his sword in the air and in the back dozens of mummified archers fire flaming arrows at Kitana’s knights on the walls and they drop like flies.

As the first group of mummified warriors begin to climb the castle walls Kitana and a Shokan fend them off.

SHOKAN:
We cannot stay here! We must retreat!

KITANA:
No we cannot lose the castle.

SHOKAN:
This is madness! We’re going to be massacred!

Kitana sighs and gives in.

KITANA:
Retreat! Retreat!

FUJIN:
Although the forces of Edenia fought bravely they could not stand against the Dragon Army and soon fell.

Kitana waits inside her throne room as the enemy bursts in, butchering her guards and grabbing her. Reptile appears and is holding the head of Sindel.

FUJIN:
Beaten and captured in combat Kitana was at the mercy of an evil tyrant and she was executed.

PILLARS OF TIME

Reptile now stands before two large pillars with a storm of lightning and winds swirling between them.

FUJIN:
Since the murder of Kitana and Queen Sindel the Dragon Army has found the lost ruins of the ancient Pillars of Time and using it Reptile sent himself through the portal and doing so he opened a gateway to the Dragon Realm.

Reptile steps through the portal and

DRAGON REALM

Appears in the flaming Dragon Realm, a place we would think hell would be like, and on his arrival thousands of Dragons bow to him and in the distance is his mighty fortress.

REPTILE’S FORTRESS

Reptile sits on his throne and he has the head of Sindel on his belt and he rests a sword in his hand. To his right the beautiful Tanya stands by him and on his left is Reiko. The room is filled with pillars and Mavado watches from behind. A banging is heard on the doors.

REPTILE:
Enter.

From the dark hallway we see Dairou entering and behind him is a familiar face, Baraka, and they approach Reptile. Both of them bow.

FUJIN:
As we speak the Dragon King is gathering his generals for a new war on earth and eventually they will set their eyes on the very heavens.

FUJIN’S CLIFF

Fujin stands on a cliff overlooking a whirlpool, the secret entrance into Outworld. Not too far behind him we can see a group of old and new heroes: Nightwolf, Kenshi, Frost, Kai, Gemini and Jade.

FUJIN:
Unless we stop the Dragon Army we will lose the earth. With our greatest fighters imprisoned by the Dragon King and the disappearance of Raiden we are the earth’s last hope and we must stand and fight this new war. It has begun.
