MK6 - The Return of Kahn!!!
MK6 - The Return of Kahn!!!
MK4
After his failure to take over earth through tournament battle in MK3, Kahn devises another plan to get earth. Waiting for the next tournament was just too long.
Having the ability to shapeshift, but not one to utilize this black art (it was Kahn who taught Shang Tsung the black arts of shapeshifting - a piece of info which was actually shed by Goro in the first MK movie), Kahn decides to take part in MK4 as a former and forgotten general of outworld, Reiko. He competes, but fails to secure a victory against Shinnok. (Shinnok is eventually killed by Quan Chi, who in turn later gets transported with Scorpion to the netherrealm - Quan Chi / Scorpion MK4 end video). With that, Kahn returns to Outworld, a defeated and significantly weakened warrior (MK4 Reiko end video).
Pre-MKDA
Back in Outworld, the Edenians and the Shokans had joined forces against him. Realizing that he was no match for the Edenia / Shokan alliance against his army, Kahn devises a plan that would "take him out of the picture" temporarily.
He sends Shang Tsung on a mission to locate the rogue sorceror Quan Chi, and try to gain his trust. He also sends Reptile away, but did not fill the Reptilian ninja in on his evil schemes. Kahn felt that Reptile had not earned his full trust just yet.
With that, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi finally appear before Kahn, ready for orders (MKDA intro). Kahn merely removes his helmet, and throws it on the floor, and places a body double on the floor. Immediately, all three of them flee, leaving Reptile to find a dead Kahn (but actually an imposter). (The narration by Raiden in the MKDA intro clip was actually the Thunder God's version of the story). It was Kahn's idea to make it seem as if Shang Tsung and Quan Chi had formed an alliance, and to make it seem as if he was murdered by them, when in fact the alliance was forged by Kahn himself!
MKDA
The "tournament" begins. Being "out of the picture", Kahn goes into hiding, taking his time to gather his full strength. The "Deadly Alliance" was just a distraction while he devised his ultimate plan - to use Quan Chi and Shang Tsung to revive the Dragon King's army. This would eventually allow the return of the Dragon King. And with a new found unstoppable army, the return of Kahn himself!

well Kahn needs to be back because he will be a part of Dragon King's backstory.

but that means that we will never get a new boss and khan will always continue to haunt us. Thank god the dragon king is one of the few confirmations of mk6

Kahn as a subboss? Hell nah!! It will ruin his image as the greatest boss. He's better off a hidden character

first off, we havent seen many characters in 3D:sindell, nightwolf, Sektor, and people please dont day mk4 is 3D it doesnt count.
Second, are we doomed to stick it out with shao khan forever? I say bring on the dragon king!

No! I really like Shao Kahn and all. I think he is an excellent character, but he was overused!!!! I mean, boss in Mk2/Mk3/MkU/MkTrilogy and even remained for a short while as a boss in MKDA! I think he should stay dead. Forever and never comeback in anyway.

Kahn and Kang form deadlier alliance. JK.
No, I know I said it before but Kahn needs to be the secret boss. You get crap endings unless you fight him.

have new myter opponents, not playable really, just do something right and u fight em like in mk1 and mk2

kahn should die, go to hell and become a bad ass like scorpion. pretty much like the suit's storyline for his "anew kahn" concept.
he should look like that, but as a hiden character. that shows up to steal your soul if you have a bunch of wins. making him stronger for his return to dominance in a later mk game.

I say Kahn needs to sit out for a few games. It's better to have a variety of powerful supervillains acting on their own (Shinnok, deadly alliance, Dragon King) than all pulled together under Kahn.

Ha! I love it.
| Grimm Wrote: Maybe Reiko could have served as a decoy while Kahn was regaining his powers after losing in past MK's. So Shang Tsung and Quan Chi would have really killed Reiko and not Kahn. There you go, Kahn returns. |

How about Reiko/Shao Kahn comes back as a REGULAR character trying to claw his way back to the top and beat the living crap out of Reptile/Dragon King for not helping him out when Shang Tsung and Quan Chi assassinated him.

Maybe they should make a game with two characters only reiko and Kahn. Then people might realise they're two different people.
Shao Kahn is dead, Reiko is a different person.
Wake up and move on. The dragon king is the next boss and if quan chi is around scorpion will be too.

I agree that Kahn needs to sit out for a few games because that would just add to everyone's thrill to see Kahn come back after a long absence. But I disagree about the variety of powerful villians pretty much doing the same plotline of taking Earth. While I agree that Kahn shouldnt be the only villian acting on his own to take Earth, I feel like variety of villians is what ruins other stories, I dont know about anyone here but I used to watch TMNT and Power Rangers and I think what ruined it for me is that there were constantly new main villians. Also for the few villians that do act on their own, (i.e. deadly alliance, Shinnok) they need to be connected into the story instead of just being introduced and saying im the new bad guy. So far they have done a great job of doing this, I hope Boon and his team keeps it like this.

eugenicz, man that was one kick ass story. I believe Kahn should be a playable character in MK6. He's like sub-zero and scorpion, no MK would be complete without Kahn. I think he should be the final final boss. What I mean by this is you first fight some sub-boss then you fight the Dragon King thinking he is the final opponent. After you defeat him out of nowhere comes Kahn, 100 times stronger then before, ready really mess someone up.
