MKA stole the fatality system from Weaponlord!!
MKA stole the fatality system from Weaponlord!!
What we thought would be a new fresh fatality system turns out to be a
concept STOLEN from an MK wannabe!!
Weaponlord,Namcos answer to MK used a system EXACTLY like the one
Midways using for MKA!At the end of a match the player has a short time
to shred his opponent using basic moves and specials resulting in a
self-made fatality.
First everyone rips-off MK, now MK is ripping off the rip-offs!
Midway should of stuck with the original system.I'm glad Namco forgot
about that game or they would be pretty upset.

If Weaponlord is using a fatality system in the first place then they are copying MK.

proof? i mean proof as in copyrighted... i mean all the fighting games are alike... i mean they all have high punches and high kicks... and so on... so you mean to tell me that cause one game started the evolution in fighting by adding weapons apart of the fighting style... i mean to say one game rips off another is like calling a rapper that is white a rip off.... end of point...

Well, if some people haven't heard of 'Weaponlord', maybe Midway didn't hear of such a crappy rip-off either...
isnt "weaponlord" a game off genesis??

Thats the one.Yes it had a fatality system, but it was COMPLETELY different
than what Midway used.If you've played the game you WILL see the similaritys between the two systems.

Weapon Lord? sounds like a game i wouldn't even want to touch. And plus now a days everyone rips everyone else off. and i don't think midway is ripping anyone off. so hmm lets say i threw a pic with a forest scenery. then you drew something completely different but with the same forest scenery. are you ripping me off?. Common grow up. were here to discuss MKA not bash on it.

actually, mk came out in 92... but anyway, weaponlord is a rip-off even tho i never heard of it... if it came out in 95, why would mk steal the idea now... i'm sure they thought of the idea on their own...

OMG, everyones ripping people off!!!!! Tekken ripped MK off because one of their characters uses Kenpo, a stlye in MKDA, omg, omg, omg, and theres more, Tekken seems to have ripped off the concept of PUNCHING from MK, oh God help us!!! The worlds going to hell!!!!
^ Sarcasm....... WeaponLord is just another Fighting game were you could finish off a person by pressing buttons and having them get torn apart... If u say that it's a ripoff for MKA to use a totally different system from an idea it originally came up with you might as well say every other 3rd person shooting game ripped off doom..

I had Weaponlord too, and I thought it was a good game for the time. They should bring back Weaponlord for next gen systems. Just like they should bring back,
Killer Instinct
Primal Rage
Mace: the Dark Age
Battle Arena Toshinden
WarGods
and a collection of every Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, and Marvel vs. Capcom game all on one disc.

You do know that copyright is a funny business. If Weaponlord changed the name of the fatality, they cannot get in trouble for copying. All you have to do these days is change the name just a little bit, and you will not be in trouble. For example: Kitana is from MK, but so in so wants a character like her too, so they change the name up a bit, like Kitaba, or Kitaka. If you change something just a little bit from another, you will NOT get in trouble.

Eternal Champions
Killer Instinct
Darkstalkers

Weaponlord ripped off of MK, as you mentioned, enough said.MK can't rip off an idea that's originally theirs to begin with lol.
Shocker, this new fatality system looks badass, so what do other fighters do?Bit off it..what else is new.
It's like Sony off of Nintendo and Xbox lol. Can't come up with any ideas by themselves, so they ripoff other ideas and say they created it..right lol.

I forgot about Eternal Champions!
But I did mean new versions for next gen, with the exception of the Capcom games they need to stay in 2D. Street Fighter EX sucked!!!
Darkstalkers is my favorite Capcom game though, so maybe they could do a 3D version of it . How would you like it to be if there was a next Gen version?
Of all those Killer Instinct is my favorite, there desperately needs to be a Killer Instinct 3!!!
