It's not always good to be first. Remember what happened to the first 64 bit game system, the Atari Jaguar? Or the first 128 bit game system the Dreamcast? Better to be the best than the first.

Boon you liar. He said the game would be the first 3D fighting game online. Doa online is trying to beat him to the punch so it will look like the mk staff members are Jack asses. How awful would it be to say for half of a year and on all your trailers the first 3D game online and mean while everyone is playing DOA and waiting for MKD. There are many people just waiting to play online they don't care what game it is. If Midway does not get crafty and push there game. DOA will beat it and TEAM NINJA will have bragging rights. And we are not talking normal bragging we are talking uber brag outs. History is in the making. Who will be the first to get there game online? I love MK but my money is on DOA. The only thing that Midway could do to possiably shut down TEAM NINJA is release MKD in Sept sometime early. I am very sure that who ever comes out first will have a huge amount of players on there side. Come on Midway don't let us down again. Be first.

Hmm so it seems DOA is trying to beat midway to the punch by bumpping up the release date. Id agree with you all in that if midway can push up the release date they should do so, because Im pretty sure the game is basicaly done.

Im not a DOA fan to say the least but midway is anything but invincible. I say they should try to get the game out there as early as possible so long as it is completed. For some reason some "hardcore gamers" have a real problem with midway and mortal kombat, Why I dunno, preference I guess, but the game looks simply amazing and much more than a polished version of MKDA like some are implying.

DOA is ok.. I prefer Soul Calibur though. MK will always be my favorite, an dI'm so excieted about MK1 coming out with MKD. I would rather play MK1 than any DOA game.

DOA is pretty, and it's fun, but the characters in my opinion are the best things about fighting games, and I say DOA is too focused on sexy characters as opposed to cool characters.

Where else can you find characters as cool, and familiar as Sub Zero or Scorpion? I would say they are as recognizable or moreso than Ken and Ryu. Also, who can argue with the great design of Nightmare in SC2? Just awesome.

That is what DOA lacks in my opinion. The graphics are great, the fighting is good, but I just like MKs characters better, and the fighitng is different. More... like special moves, DOA may be a little too realistic when it comes to moves. I like being able to freeze my opponent, or to chuck a spear in his throat and watch the blood fly all over tha place. All three are great games. I chose MKD.

game to be online. Yes, Cap vs SNK 2 was online first, but it's 2D not 3D.

Meh, it's all nothing more than Itagaki's way of getting a jump on any possible competition. He's such an ego driven douchebag that he can't stand to see competition towards his games (as well as less than favorable review). But whatever, this isn't the thread where I rant on about why I want to bash his face in with a blunt object.

What Boon has been saying is that MKD will be the first 3d online fighter for Xbox AND PS2, doa U is only for xbox, not ps2 too.So Boon was right mkd is the first 3d fighter for BOTH Xbox and PS2.

I do not really care. I will be playing both.
