Well i am pissed, But hopefully the added characters are two or three of my favorites(sektor, rain and kintaro/sheeva). I just want to see them in MK:D's graphics, See what their fighting styles would be and hear their stories continued.

Lucky for me however that not only is my sister obsessed with MK:D, But she's getting a GameCube for Christmas (shh! don't tell her, lol) and i imagine that she'll jump to get it, Especially with added characters.

Ed boob is all about makeing money, he doesnt care about Super Unlockables, he doesn't care about extra characters all he cares about is money in his pocket. I think the reasoning for releasing it on Gamecube with more charaters is so he can make more money, and he feels slightly sad for all the people who are going to be pissed when they find out theres no extra characters. Ed boob is a politican all he cares about is money.

Yea thats just a big lie.....your just mad because Ed Boon has made it pretty hard to unlock stuff this time around. And if their aren't 700+ unlockables you can be the first to sue Mr. Boon for false advertisement.

Well I feet torn on this one. I was hoping to have the GC as a choice up front but that didn't happen. I wasn't going to wait so I got the PS2. So While I would hate to have to rebuy a game because they added more stuff to it, if it was the right stuff I probably would. The lack of Frost and Nirira on this game was a real blow for me and since they already have working Frost and Nitira made, there is a good chance they could end up on the GC. So on one hand I hope there is nothing too cool to want. On the other hand I hope there is. I don't have Broadband access so I can't play online making that a usless option for me. I would have gotten more use out of a couple more characters and an extra stage or something.

In the end its common practice to add stuff to a game when it comes to a console long after it is released on another system. MGS2 and Onimusa spring to mind. It sucks for the people that own a game that isn't the full version, but then it would suck more for someone that waited all that time and got nothing. We get to play months before the GC crowd does, so tell them its not fair and see what they say.

giving the GC version of Deception extra characters and things is only fair since they are always getting shafted left and right

Muwahhaaa, it was my question that answered this! Ha, one of the few questions that didn't suck! And we got a fairly decent answer. I have a PS2 but no online stuff, so I've been waiting for the cube version. And I'm very glad there are some extras, as for extra characters it can be good and it can be bad. Good would be like throwing in Reptile, Shang, Sareena, etc. Bad would be Mokap, Meat, (though Meat-Blaze would be cool) I guess a in between possibility would be throwing in some of the DA characters with nothing really new. You guys got to admit though, that was a good question!

If gamecube kontent is downloadable via PS2 online or XBOX live, then there is no point to buying the gamecube one. But that wouldn't be fair because that would still make us be better than the gamecube.

So I doubt that will happen, I wouldn't mind buying the gamecube version if it had more characters.

Did you read the fight night? They have no plans to patch the game.

I am a PS2 and GC owner and when I heard that MKD was cancelled for GC, i was bummed, but thanked god i have a PS2. However, when I heard that the GC version of MKD was coming back but releasing later w/ different features, I was very happy and planned to wait for its release. To me whatever the extra content is, it's gonna be better than the PS2's because I won't play online anyway. so for me it's basically a win win situation. Even though exclusive characters does seem a little harsh for the PS2 and Xbox owners, I'm not gonna complain. Just can't wait for the release.

And there won't be any downloadable kontent for the ps2 and xbox users. Midway even stated at fight night that there won't be, but there could be for MK7.

It's better to get online play than 34 characters for sure though, so you guys can stop being jealous and notice we have a better feature which gamecube will never has.

Hmm Im a bit split on the whole gamecube thing. For a start, I dont think its safe to assume all PS2 and XBox owners can use the online play. I for one cant, and have heard a few others on here say the same, so in that way its unfair for gamecubers to get extra characters.
I also dont think its fai because online is a gamplay mode.....so the gamcube should get another gameplay mode or two which we dont have, maybe somethin like mini kombat with special fatalities and a babality or something, but with the same characters in it. Maybe a few more unlockable items in the krypt or some extra Konquest mission, but definitely not any extra characters.

What will happen is the GC version will get more characters, then a few months after that the XBOX and PS2 will be hit with some sort of MKD "insert goofy hyper, extra, super, etc. name here) that has all the GC exclusive stuff also......at $49.99 or more no doubt. Boon is about the cash, plain and simple, and any smart business man like himself would pounce on an oppurtunity like that knowing perfectly well people will eat it up.

I have a Gamecube and XBox, so I'm gonna get the MK:D for Cube after I get christmas money. I'll save at least £40 to get MK:D on Cube. So i'll have XBox and Cube versions. YAY!!!! Anyways, is this really what Boon said:
