Hey, you know how in konquest, you sometimes fight people that aren't actually in the game? Like Shang Tsung in that ridiculous Netherrealm fight, and Jax on the bridge? If there are "new" characters, maybe it's just those people. It would be real easy since the models are already in the game (ripped straight out of MK:DA if I'm not mistaken); all they have to do is add code to make them playable on GameCube.

what the hell.!?!? Guys... where the hell did you hear that the Cube is getting 12 characters? MIDWAY NEVER SAID THIS!. Wow... and that quote above is not what Boon said... because the kata whatever stage and the ice worm stage is...... surprisingly... the same stage. So that's bullshit at it's best. And it is confirmed, however... that the cube will get 2 extra features... TWO... EXTRA... FEAT... URES. Why do so many people think 12 new characters? And we don't know what the extra features are at the moment.... they even told us this at fight night!

Oh cry me a river. Noone forced you to buy the PS2 or Xbox versions.

So the Gamecube vers is getting some more characters. Big deal. Here's your choice, some quickly tacked on characters+waiting months and months before you get your copy, or online mode and having the game now.

Gee? Thats tough. You whiney bitches.

And no, this isn't Midway making up for Nintendo's mistakes. The 'Cube has a broadband adapter. Everything you need for online play is there. It's was Midway's choice not to utilize it. Big fucking deal.

MK7 is approx. 3 years away.

If the backlash is tremondous after the GC release then we might see an MKGold version of MKD. Just my two cents.
Well, it's ok that MKD has some cool extra features for the GC. It's just fair. But i'm so f***cking angry and dissapointed about that decision.. I own a GC, but i'm from europe and MKD will not release in europe, just in USA and this sucks. I mean, it's really sucks!!! We don't get the chance to play it. God knows that i'll buy this game for GC too. But anyway, it now doesn't matter. I'm just dissapointed about that thing.I think, Boon even don't care about this, but in europe are MK fans too, not only in USA....

Dude don't spaz. The GC is the easiest system to mod. All you have to do is buy the Freeloader disk and order the US version from here in the states. I was playing Soul Calibur 2 months before it was released here. As long as you don't get screwed by the exchange rate for wherever you live it shouldn't be very expensive. Of course a bad exchange rate could change that but you can do it if you really want it.
