Actually, MK2 already had taunts. Has everybody forgotten Shao Kahn saying: "You will die!"

And what about Noob Saibot taunting you with:"It's official, you will suck"

I don't think it's necessary, but it would add flavor. However, I wouldn't mind just a short animation (like in Soul Caliber).

Umm ahhhh NO!

Fights are about what is unsaid not whats said. This isn't bloody jerry springer. It would take away from the game and cheapen it. You wan't a dark mystical feel or do you wan't a cheap trashy feel.

I am sorry I think that I have given the idea, to many off you. I don't want harsh words spoken, or dirty gestures. Trash talk like (come get some) or other one liners like that. I don't want f-ck or sh-t used by the fighters. It's a fight to the death yes. And I have never seen a fight in real life or in a pro boxing ring that people did not say something before the fight. Honestly how many fights have you seen where two people square off and beat each others ass, never saying a word? Everyone talks a little smack even if they get there ass handed to them they still talk trash after words. Yes it's mortal kombat and it's about good ans evil. But come on, If you just took place in a match to the death and won, body all beaten to a pulp and just made it by with out losing your teeth. I think most of you would say something to your enemy. I sure as the hell would. But that is just what I think.

Nah, I'll have to say no to this one too. Let's keep trash talking outside of the game and save character talking for endings (hopefully). Also, what would be nice is if arcade mode had a specific series of characters for each character and betwen fights, there were little movies which explained the plot of the game. To solve any bitching I may recieve about "what about different percent difficulties?" and "what about fighting different people?" I'll keep it simple. All difficulties are the same in correspondance to the difficulty set and you fight every unlocked character, the story perhaps "further explaining" as different characters are unlocked. Another solution may be to use a different series of characters for some who may not make a difference, but keeping those who are essential to the development of the plot of that character. That would be a good oppertunity for hearing characters talk as well as viewing them with quality graphics. How's it sound?

i would rather have this trash talking introductions before a fight than some shitass minigame. GIVE MK CHARACTERS MORE DEPTH!!! GIVE THEM UNIQUE VOICES FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!
