You didnt get the game? Thats odd...

Two reasons why:
1.) It isn't out until the 28th October
and
2.) I have already ordered mine from the US (XBOX Kollectors Edition on import)

I hope you guys (UK) get it sooner than yall got MKDA. That was just unfair.

Dude, MK:D is out on the 19th November in Britain, which means stores won't have it until the 17th at the earliest. Check Gameplay.com, their results dates are updated the second they change, and on there it's the 19th.
We all want the game sooner, but it ain't gonna happen.

I believe the thread starter... if you read the post it said the game would be imported on that date. Since the US tends to get a head start with new consoles and games released first, there's a healthy import market existing in the UK where we can actually by US consoles and games brought back from America (or Japan, but they're not in English). These imported games will only work on imported consoles - but many people have them (mine's officially PAL sob!) so some UK gamers can get their games according the the US release schedule (give or take a few days for importing). Since this is not official PAL software (which won't go on sale for another month yet) it can be bought earlier. Most games companies are trying to sue the importers but many still exist and are thriving. These companies don't realise that people wouldn't need to import if the US and UK release dates were closer together (or the same day). To make things clear for those UK gamers who are interested - you CANNOT play these games with a PAL console unless it is CHIPPED. You more or less cannot get your console chipped now since it's illegal - but if you're chipped already you'll be fine. If not, WAIT for the PAL release or buy a US Playstation 2. Peace!

unfortunately your wrong mate. MK:D is arriving in most stores in the uk on the 5th of Nov. Not the 19th. I do believe that some stores will get it a week before. so i believe that it might come out on the 28th in some stores.

You're not entirely right...
Yes, Midway will be shipping the PAL game to shops in the UK for sale in November.
The US game will be out beforehand, so some shops can get people to Fly To America, buy the game, the Fly Back and sell it. Same with the consoles. The only way NO COPIES of the game will arive in stores across the UK before the original UK release date is if the US and JAP released are postponed until the PAL release date!
To be honest I once laughed at import games players since they have to pay up to twice the normal price for their games, can ONLY play imports (these guys can't play their own country's games) and they need to buy stepdown power converters and own a 60hz compatible TV set. Now though, I'm green with envy :(

US and JAP gamers may well be unaware of the Import scene in the UK. This is because the UK doesn't get ALL the games that are released in US and JAP countries. Some games NEVER arrive. On top of that, nearly all games are sold in US before UK - so in America people wouldn't need to import games from the UK since they get them first anyway.
Sony, Nintendo etc are attempting to clamp down on importing of games, threatening to shut down the shops that do this, but importing goes on and is still as rampant as ever... it's probably gonna end somewhere but it's not just going to halt in the next few weeks thats for certain - plenty of time to import MKD!

im doing work experience for school and i have to put new stock in the vault (btw its massive) and like they asked me to come in on the 5th oct to put the new game stock in the vault and i read the list and there was MKD just to say that guy might be right about the 28th oct date

I live roughly about half an hour from London. I went to my local GAME shop. i check'ed the dates of september/october and the counter and i couldnt see deception.
so i asked the dude behind the counter, when is mkd coming out. he said "im looking to have that too...he checks the list and say's NOVEMBER 19TH.
so what the fuck is going on?????

I wouldn't get my hopes up. I always enquire about these things and the only way they're releasing MKD on the 28th is if Midway have changed the official release date or if someone else (another store) sells the game before the intended release date.
The only dates I've seen are the 5th and 19th of November, but the 5th is now the one shown by every store I go to.
I'll have another check tomorrow.

You know what you guys should do? If you're REALLY psyched about the game, just take a little trip here to the US, buy the game, and go back. You'd have it before all the other MK fans from the UK that are waiting until November. We have only 5 days left until it gets released here in the US (well, i gotta wait 7 days cuz i'm getting it from a specific store and they don't get it until october 6th) so if any of you are really impatient, just come over here and buy it, unless that could be considered illegal somehow.

well for me tht would be a no go cos for:
1. i am scared of flying and
2.i would have to buy another Xbox or Ps2 tht play american games.
so id wait unless u wanna send me a copy lol

What you've stated in fact isn't illegal - if you buy it then it's yours! You won't be able to play it on a PAL system tho.
What is (kinda) illegal is alot of smaller shops (or specialist shops) fetch them in bulk from the States primarily to sell in their shops. This gives them a head start cause everyone then rushes out to buy the import version from them than wait for the official version from reputable dealers... still you can do it!
