Howcome in pretty much all of Scorpion's vids, he's always in Hapkido?

We've hardly seen what Moi Fah has to offer and I think it's going to be an awesome fighting style.

I haven't been able to really view Scorpion's recent vids, but what do you all think?

you can try and google moi fah and find out more about it, and see some moves and stuff and maybe get a brief description about it and come back and post it, a little disclaimer, this is not intended to be an ad for google, lol

Well, if you are picking up Deception for the first time, in a busy situation like that, you aren't going to stand there and try to figure out the new styles and combos, you are going to either fool around with buttons or switch to a style you are familiar with. Scorpion lost 2 of his DA styles, and Hakido is the one everyone knows. So I think it's just about familiarity.

i think his sword and moi fah are gonna be awesome because they are quick and while hapkido focuses more on being well rounded moi fah has lifts (at least from what ive seen and is sword is fast as crap

In all honesty, this may not be the best idea. While MK does name fighting styles, there are plenty of things that are inaccurate about it. For example, Hapkido is all about locks and chokes and pressure points, but when Scorpion uses it, he just kicks their ass (Don't get me wrong, Hapkido was my favorite style in DA). Also, Kenpo is associated with punches and low kicks, but Sonya used an array of very high kicks. My point is, Googling a fighting style probably wouldn't tell you very much of what to expect in MK: D

About Me

I don't want a bigger movelist Boon. I want a reason to use more than
10% of the ones you've given me. Fix MK with Move Properties.

From both Scorpion's 2nd and 3rd stances so far, both of them don't look too good. His second stance mainly has people using the three mid chain it looks like of punches, nothing else really shown. Seems to be safe. His sword seems to put him into disadvantage a lot, we can't be sure without having people actually block and attack back; but his sword definately lacks speed, range, and maybe safety. It looks fast because it's one handed, but if you time the swing of his swords to other weapons, they're about the same.

nah... Hapkido is a korean martial art much like Taekwondo... lots of kicks firm hand strikes... yes it does have joint locks but its mostly all about being well balanced.... Im not sure but i read somewhere that Moi Fah is a mixture of northern and southern shaolin styles... but im not sure
