Is it just me, or do all the outfits bare a canny resemblance to things we have seen in the past? For instance:
Mileena looks a little like Jasmine from Alladin
Noob looks like Snake Eyes from G.I.Joe
Sub-Zero looks like Shredder from Turtles
Ben Kobra has the G.I.Joe Cobra emblum
Shinjukin looks like Pai Mei from Kill Bill 2
See what I mean? Are they just running out of ideas? Does it mean that this could be the first Mortal Kombat that doesn't have its own original ideas? wow

everyone on cobra's team in GI Joe had a sense of originality. i havent watched the cartoon since i was a little kid, but from what i can remember, they all looked badass. im glad the mk team borrowed some of their design's... i would take it as a complement if i were the creator of GI Joe.
i also remember a guy named beachhead... that guy was cool. i think i'll go buy the dvd, damn that was a great show.

i don't know if these cases count, but:
-Kano's Aussie nationality was based off MK movie.
-Raiden's gray hair was based off the MK Movie.
Nightwolf = Street Fighter's T. Hawk
Liu Kang = Street Fighter's Fei Long
Kobra = Street Fighter's Ken
As you can see, MK has been copying off of more than movies & TV...
