Mortal Kombat Deception may very well be the last Mortal Kombat featuring our favorites. Their endings may show them all go to other things. For instance, Sub can manage the Lin Kuei, Scorp will be at rest after killing his killer and such. Now, what if per say, Hotaru and Dairou are our new Scorpion and Subzero? Check this idea, although some fans wouldn't like it, I think it'd be an awesome change.

Mortal Kombat : New Era The ----th Tournament

Now that the Deadly Alliance has been defeated, and the Dragon King slain, The return of Shao Kahn to the tournament now has come among us. He forms an ingenous plot to draw in the warriors of the last invasion and those still reachable, to fight in the tournament. The winners are obvious, as the losers face death. Kahn attempts to take control of the souls, and reinhabit an army of his own, of undefeatable fighters, to become a legend, and to take on the elder gods.

Characters

Hotaru: The first of our returning characters. Hotaru is still protecting his values, and in a returning role, he picks up his duel with a vengeful samurai, Dairou, whom has also entered the tournament.

Dairou: A past guard to the DK, whom has returned on a vengeful hatred for Hotaru, a samurai who aims to protect and serve for good. Dairou's vicious a blood thirsty ways are truely a threat to Hotaru.

Shado: With the leave and disappearence of Noob Saibot, Shado appears. Another Brothers of the Shadow member. Shado is an evil shadow clad warrior. He is the only ninja participating in the tournament. Shado is one of many oni.

Ashrah: Returning on the path of Shado, whom she's stalking and coming close to finding. Ashrah has cleansed herself, and now aims to rid the world of its evils, this includes Kahn and his minions.

Ben/Kobra: Being the top fighter Earthrealm has to offer, he participates to stop the crisis in Orderrealm, where the elder gods are faced with the threat of the emperor, once again.

Skab: A Wildcard. Skab returns in an attack upon any warriors stirring his way. Skab's motives are unknown as he wanders the Nether-realm posing threat to any passer-bys.

Kira: The returning Black Dragon member, has taken Kano's name in Vengence. She has still yet to slay Kano's killers, yet even seen a body of Kano. Little does she know what happened.

Renalda: A female Red Dragon member, who took up Mavado's place in the the clan. After hearing of Mavado's death at the hands of Kabal, She decides to change things, and tries to win the tournament in hopes of proving herself as top fighter.

Jackal: A brute Mutant, looking somewhat like Baraka. Jackal's motives are clearly evil. He is drawn out of the Netherrealm mines to fight in the tournament to slay the fighters of good.

Sentinal: A cyborg Human, On the side of good, created by Special Forces basically to eliminate the existing Black Dragon members. The Sentinal enters the tournament on strict orders.

Centry: A skilled fighter from the OrderRealm, whom takes up the flame of the gods and protects his title as best in the realm. Centry aims to reach Kahn and stop the threat.

Returning Characters

Sonya: The Return of one Special Forces member in an attempt to protect Earthrealm once more. Sonya comes not with Jax this time, but her cyborg assistant.

Fujin: A god is needed to help, and he aids the humans in their battle. Fujin's hand is needed greatly, and that he doesn't have to put his god like position on the line, promises any foes to Fujin a tough fight.

Shao Kahn: The Emperor returns with a new appearence. His motives stated in the story.

Kintaro: The first guardian to Shao Kahn returns, and takes up the role, returning twice as tough. Kintaro also aims to avenge his friend Goro's death at the hands of the Brother of the Shadow, Disregarding the treaty with Edenia, he kills any in Kahns way.

Rain: Not a ninja anymore, He is a regular warrior who returns with lightning capabilities almighty. Rain's purpose is to make sure the treaty remains in tact with the Shokans, but soon enough. He remains on the side of good.

Tell me whatcha think.

I like the idea! Raiden should be there instead of Fujin and maybe Sub-Zero should be in there or maybe Frost in his place.

The story is cool and I like the new characters and what you've done with them. I like the sound of the sentinel and the character Centry.

Rain was an Edenian warrior, not a ninja. It never said anywhere that Rain was a ninja. Perhaps implementing Raiden in would be a good idea, but I like adding in a character who hasn't been used too much.

I don't think I would mind at all if none of the "classic" characters returned. Or at least, recieved huge overhauls. If anything, it would probably be more interesting without having to weave old characters back into the plot and give them reasons to stick around.

That's why they should go ahead and make a Trilogy-esq game after Deception and then if need be move on to bigger and better things in MK7. Just have all the Characters in it to tie the story together, then have most of them be done with what the where fighting for and go off and get on with their life.

I like the idea of a new Mortal Kombat game being the next tournament but a lot of those chararcters wouldnt be alive in the next tournament because the tournament is held every 100 years and if lets say Sonya would to be in the game she would be really old.

Well, true. But this tournament would probably take place right after the DK invasion. Kahn wants no time wasted.
