Can't have a line-up of capcom fighters without Ryu.

This would never happen though. Capcom + Midway will always be rivals at best

I know it would never happen, but i always wanted Ryu to get his ass kicked by Subzero.

1) The idea will never happen.

2) It would look better if it was Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter, not Mortal Kombat vs. Capcom.

3) The engines are too different to fuse together. It wouldn't work nowadays unless one of the two companies completely rewrote the fighting system. At one point in time, however, this could've been a possibility.

I agree. The only way I could see it is if Cap took the MK characters and turned them into 2D sprites. May be cool, but it will never happen. Of course, Sammy is pitting Cap characters against Guilty Gear, so I guess anything is possible.

I think it would be cool to see MK in anime style.

That would probably look odd at first, but I can see that happening and it would look nice.

I would love to see Scorpion toast Ryu, or see Subzero rip off Ryu's head.

Well, first off, it's good to be back... sucks that I can't remember my original password (doubt anyone remembers me, though...)

Second off, if they DID do a Mortal Kombat versus Street Fighter, they WOULD need to combine the styles into one game, and no matter which way they go, it will piss off a LOT of people. However, if they ever decided to go with the Deadly Alliance form (which I am a big fan of), then that would be great, so here's my list, keeping the Deadly Alliance/Deception engine in mind:

Mortal Kombat:
1.) Scorpion (not that I want him, per say, but he IS Mortal Kombat)
2.) Sub Zero (see above)
3.) Kenshi
4.) Kung Lao
5.) Quan Chi (give him some good fatalities, PLEASE!)
6.) Rayden (well, as long as he still has the staff)
7.) Rain (so what, I like him, and if they make him have decent fatalities, then he'd be great!)
8.) Smoke (I'd prefer Human, since this computer won't show me his new form that was recentally posted, due to a government block)
9.) Stryker (people are right, make him more SWAT or military, and less Rent-A-Cop, and he could be a good design)
10.) Baraka
11.) Liu Kang (eh, his battles with Fei Long would be funny as crap!)
12.) Kitana (for storyline, if needed, purposes)
13.) Shang Tsung (have his morphs return)
14.) Tanya (give her a chance to evolve as a character into something good)

Street Fighter:
1.) Ryu
2.) Ken
3.) Akuma
4.) Guile/Charlie (or Remy, if they wanna keep with the dark feel, and seriously, drop the "charge" move!)
5.) Cammy (though her aerial offense will take a SERIOUS blow, since she won't be anything like she was in Marvel vs. Capcom 2)
6.) R. Mika (what, every fighting game NEEDS a wrestler, and she is everything but the stereotypical fighting game wrestler...)
7.) Bison (give him some fatalities like what Shinnok had, and guaranteed platinum character!)
8.) Sagat
9.) Fei Long (see Liu Kang, plus since he's one of Capcom's "forgotten sons")
10.) Chun-Li (she is another Capcom mainstay)
11.) Dee Jay (he could easily replace Jax as the obligitory "black" character)
12.) Cody (AWESOME design!)
13.) Zangief (a more strong-man Vale Tudo style wrestler, as opposed to R. Mika's "lucha" or "puro" based style)

That's who I'd like to see...

MK vs SF would never work for numerous reasons:

1. Street Fighter tends to lean more toward real world locals while Mortal Kombat has that dark, fantasy feel to it.
2. I don't think Capcom would like to see fatalities on their characters.
3. Given the two engines as they are, it is completely unbalanced. MK would kick SF's ass. It is going to be EXTREMELY difficult to balance the two.
4. SF is all about more speed and less strategy. MK is vice versa. This is of course according to the current MK era.
5. SF has no blood. MK does.

And many others reasons I may have forgotten to mention. It just wouldn't work out. I'd love to see it happen, but it won't. Get MUGEN if you want something like that.
