In earthrealm, B-4 next to a hut (don't remember what time of day, I think maybe around 10 am, but not quite sure), Motaro appears. If you talk to him, he gives you 1000 ruby koins. Not awesome, but proof that he appears.

Yeah, I found him more or less straight after I scared the old man... Talk about being in the right place at the right time!!!!
