I doubt they'd have a high profile band like LP, but any of the others bands would work, heck I haven't even heard of them, besides they all sound the same, depressed guys shouting, and anyway, midway is to cheap to get a band, Adema did pretty good though, they'd never get a band like Linkin Park, buying rights to a song? Midway is way to cheap for that.

The music for Mortal Kombat: Deception should have that MK feel to it as well as be suitable for whatever kombat zone it may be. All of the music should be through live instruments and not MIDI stuff. That's all I really have to say here.

DOOM 3 has the right idea with Tool and NIN doing the music.

LOL.this is really funny to see everyones diversity in music in mk.Someone said tool would be perfect music for mk.Someone else said linkin park.See the problem?Ones mans music perfectness for mk is anothers nightmare.Stick to the classic MK sounds and eriness ala mk2.

Well although everyone is diverse I'm pretty sure that everyone agrees that Mk and fighting in general go best with Techno/Rock. I mean the Mk movies had perfect music with that little mix of styles.....oh and Adema's song Immortal sucked humongous, sweating, stinking, drunken Bo Rai Cho Balls!!!!

I like that music that makes you want to fight even more. Not just music. Sometimes it the bord doesn't even have to have much music but a little mix with with atmosphere like the LIVING FOREST.

I was disappointed that a couple of the stages in MK:DA had the same music. That portal stage and the one with acid. And the music wasn't bad, but it they could have put music in there that made you want FIGHT!!!! alot more then what was used.

Two of my favorite music from MK are from MK2, one is the board where you can nock the opponent upward into spikes. The music on it made me want to fight for days. The other where you can see the clouds passing by on supposedly moving fighting arena and there two people in robes with their hands in a praying position. Many others, but two of my favorites.

if they had rock music in MK im sorry but i could not listen to it ... i only like rap R&B and some pop i think the music from the sound track should be in the game cause if rock was playing i would mute it and listen to my Ipod the whole time

I think only one genre of music really fits with the MK series, and that's metal. No offense to those who prefer rap or punk, but if you really try to compare the MK storyline and all the gruesome violence with the lyrics of songs in every genre of music, well...you do the math. Try "Hell Awaits" or "Postmortem" by Slayer. Both songs have guitar riffs that truly sound evil. If you want really sick lyrics, try "Necrophiliac" by Slayer. Please excuse my sick, evil mind though.

marilyn manson always does the best soundtracks and also has the best music. manson or trent reznor would be my pick for the MK sountrack!

U r the only one who right bloodline... MK must have metal music cause the lrycs and riffs fit on the story line of mk series..SLAYER will be the best for MK.. and some brutal death metal band will be great since the game is so brutal so evil.. u wana put rap? huh thats so stupid go and play racing game then.. we r here playing something brutal, deadly and evil.. MK fans have to listen to metal music... slayer, sepultuar, kreator, cannibal corpse, vader, etc...

I have only heard a few mentions of Slipknot and Trent Reznor. They would be perfect for a dark game like this. OH DAMN!!!! I have a great idea. Playstation 2 is coming out with the HDD, right. What if MK:D had an option to change the programmed music to music you have downloaded onto the HDD. That would be sick as hell. That way, everyone would be happy.

OOPS! Had a brainfart! Copyright infringement and all. What I meant was you could burn music from cd's that you already have onto the HDD to load onto the game.
