My Idea on how to unlock Rain in MKD (theoretical)

On the multi-tiered rain and lightning stage, if you perform some special feat, you will find out through a cutscene that the character "Rain" has been causing the thunderous weather conditions. He can not control it. Just him being there, hidden and seeking refuge in that stage, causes the harsh weather. You will then fight him. The rain and lightning weather conditions will become even more violent as "Rain's" power is unleashed in battle. If you defeat "Rain", you will unlock him as a playable character. In addition, you will also unlock an alternate background of that same stage you fought him on. It will be a clear, moonlit sky, with the stars shining above. Not a cloud in site. "Rain" has been quenched.

Rain, a controller of weather, vs. Raiden, a God of Thunder. That would be quite a match-up, I would think.

Regardless, anyway is better than the rumor in MK:DA that you could unlock Rain. Anyone remember that? A few sites still list it as a cheat. Buy every coffin, then purchase "RA" and "IN", then go to Frost, hold left and hit start. The damn thing had me fooled for a second. Fatality.

why are you even talking about rain when he is not going to be in it. it would be cool if he was but the only place he will be in is konquest mode that is the only place where you will see rain in.

As far as we know. Boon has stated that there will be beyond 24 characters to play as altogether, and Rain very well can be one of them, being it that he is in fact in Konquest mode were most of the hidden/unlockable characters are to begin with.

I like that idea by the way, but it seems like he would have to much power to affect the actual weather like that when unleashing his powers. Thats more Raidens department IMO. I dont believe him to be that powerful, sure he can manipulate certain things of storm at a given time, one at a time, but hes nowhere near the level of power you describe, thats Raiden. But I like the idea of just by his presence on that level, the weather is going hay-wire.

Rain could be an unlockable, playable character. It is not beyond the realm of reason. Actually, seeing as how so many people want him to come back, it's very reasonable. Fatality.

yeah, he does have a good chance back. The most wanted secret character poll showed that rain was number 1 most wanted as a secret character.

Any way good idea on how to get rain!

If i remeber correctly in a past interview someone i think it was boon himself was talking about Konquest mode and how thats where you'd unlock most of the stuff and he spefically methoned that Rain would make an apperance now if he said that every character ever in an MK game would make an apperance then why would he point out that Rain would be in it unless he had more then a cameo in the game just something to think about

i dont think rain will be playable. i dont even see why mko went as far to actually mention his name on the main news page..every mk character will make an appearence in konquest..including rain.

just cause hes in conquest, doesnt mean he will be playable..of course, that doesnt mean he wont be as well.
