Firstly i wanna speak about the main game itself. When i first turned this on i was impressed by the 720p graphics on the Xbox. I mean this game is
incredibley sharp, it looks absolutley amazing. While the majority of the players moves are almost identical to deception and deadly alliance there is a lot more you can do this time time round. Figuring out which way to launch your opponent into mid air and kicking the crap out of them before they hit the ground. This feature isnt as simplistic as i thought it could be, i based my pre opinion on all the videos id seen prior to playing the game, but once youve figured it out its a blast and looks very impressive. Im not a massive fan of the trimming down of combos. While i will be the first to admit that i got annoyed at the memorizing of the lengthly button combos in deception and deadly alliance, i now miss them. You simply cannot string together the same length combos here. Its a little frustrating. Ive read many reviews that have said that all the players have the same move set and feel like each other. Id like to know what drugs those guys dropped before playing this game. I mean the last i remember, GORO played nothing like say scorpion, Reptile felt totally different than say sub zero and so on. All in all im quiet happy with the Kombat part of MKA, it does feel like it was just slightly tweaked from deception but I knew thats exactly what i would be getting before i got this game.
KAF is a totally different kettle of fish though. While i was impressed initinally on how easy it was to pull of a fatality on my first time, i quickly came to realise that this is the exact same for every character and gets boring quickly. While i enjoyed watching fatalities a lot in previous MKs it doesnt really bother me too much. I mean the old fatalities got old quickly aswell. It was a nice try on midways part for trying something different.
MOTOR KOMBAT: Man does this suck. I actually hate it. I know that is harsh but the tracks are boring, the gameplay is sluggish and unresponsive, the handling of the cars is terrible. But again, this is simply a diversion, and extra to play once in a while. Some of my mates really liked it , i didnt.
Konquest. Now this i loved. I really enjoyed shaolin monks and this ranks right up there with it. This i feel is one of the strongest parts of the game. A lot of people really complained about the endings and story to MKA, but i was suprised to see that Konquest actually tells a lot of the story and ties it in brilliantly to the game. Its really addictive and a hell of a lot of fun. Its very challenging and i just loved the story. The voice acting is actually quite impressive and i was really excited to see how the story played out, It all comes together fantastically well. I dont wanna say too much more about this for spoiler reasons but i love it. I know im gonna play this game through again.
Kreate a fighter: this if fantastic. We were messing around and created on of my friends girlfiends. It was a lot of fun, there is a hell of a lot of detail in here and i defy anyone not to be able to create any character theyve ever wanted to play in a fighting game. We created george bush and ripped the sucker to shreads. His special move was called " Shock and AW"
To sum it up, the only disappointment i have is with motor kombat, and i even feel cheeky saying that, as its just an added extra for our benefit. MK has never taken itself seriously and why should it start now. Any MK fan "should" love this game, but weve been spoilt lately.
I end on one question to everyone who dislikes this game!! . If MKDA and MK Deception never got released and this was released in its place, wouldnt you think that this was the best MK game ever created?

In response to that question; that is a no brainer man. That's like comparing Mortal Kombat 4 to Armageddon.
I played if for some time now and I agree with you on most of the parts. So you created George Bush huh? I made Abraham Lincoln wink.
Konquest was awsome but I felt like there could have been more. In a game where the cast is around 60, I expected to see more characters around. Jax, Kung Lao, Zombie Kang, Stryker, Kai, Kitana,Sindel, Bo Rai Cho. These are just some of the names of characters that I thought would have been cool for Taven to meet. Konquest didn't really give us a whole bunch in what the Earthrealm warriors were up to, and I feel like that is a bummer because the story that usually follows them didn't this time around. I'm not one to complain but I do feel that considering that this is the last chapter on alot of characters, we should see them involved in the story in some shape or form and have an explanation on what their own individual purposes were in this game.
I don't have online, but I bet Motor Kombat would be much more fun if we would be able to play with other people. It would be neat also if there were more characters to choose from instead of just 8.

I liked Konquest but I also thought it was missing the storyline. This is the second time that Midway has just created a new character without really advancing the story. Taven's fun to play with but they haven't advanced too many characters in the last three games, except maybe Reptile who they then screwed over by having him and Onaga together and not taking them anywhere.

I've only been playing the game for about a day and I got to agree with you on most of it. KAK is pretty awsome, there are so many characters from other fighting games that I've manged to create (Akuma, Ken, Ryu, Guile, Segat, Paul [Tekken], He-Man, etc). The list is endless. No to mention my own updated takes of classic character like a classic looking Smoke, and nook. I actually think it's even possible to create the character from Big trouble in Little China that inspired Rayden. Konquest mode is pretty awsome. My only complain is it's a little too straight forward, but atlease you don't deviate from the main path which makes it easy that you don't really miss or over look anything looking for relics, and secret chests.

I COMPLETELY agree with you. Especially about the konquest mode- it had far better voice acting than Shaolin Monks.

You can escape most of the stuff that you couldn't in MK:D due to the wake up, parries and breakers.
There's a few infinites that I hear are unescapable however EXTREMELY difficult to pull off and trust me, I play MK:A online nobody will try it with lag lol.
But yeah I agree, this game is one of the best MKs ever made no doubt.
Much better then MK:DA and MK:D.
