My take on secrets that are left.
I have been reading alot of threads everywhere, including other sites. Most tricks are, well, made up to put it nicely.
I think there is at least one more stage to unlock. The ice cavern stage. The problem is, there is no clues out there about the possiblility of its location or how to go about getting it. The secrets are all about "super unlockables" and nothing else.
Honestly, if there are any, time will let us know of where these are.
One thing I have noticed is when you fight Quan Chi, Soyna or any of those characters, it doesn't say anything when they win. Like, "Soyna Wins". Just thought it is a strange thought to bring up. Maybe they aren't the characters we all hope for. Perhaps they are someone else.
It feels empty to finish Konquest and not know why you can still play it and not know exactly where the real goods are and how to get them. Anything can be made up at this point to get people to become frustrated. The Brady Games book is a joke that is out right now. The only thing of interest in it is a character called "Mystery". Perhaps this character is one created out of fighting styles and special moves that you make. The reason for this is the descriptions of the special moves and fighting styles sounds like you make them up. It would be an amazing concept. Shujinko doesn't have the greatest fighting styles on the planet. His special moves are found, not picked from a list or anything.
Anyway, enough rambling. What is your take on secrets and the fake secrets out there right now?

"Mystery" in the strategy guide is very obviously Liu Kang. Not only did they put "Mystery" in the alphabetical place where Liu Kang would be, but Mystery also has Liu Kang's moves, hehe.

I really doubt Liu Kang is the last "secret" (not much of a secret if I knew about him prior to release), it just means that the strategy guide sucks and is a complete ripoff. I'm sure there are many, many secrets left... the game has too many extras and looks like it took too much effort to put together (chess, puzzle, vast RPG world, etc) for there not to be. I really doubt the creators wouldn't have fun hiding tons of things in Konquest mode now that they can hide stuff in story mode. The creators have said there'd be more than 24 characters, and if rumors are to be believed, even another mini game and/or bunch more puzzle fighters. As many have pointed out, if there are no more secrets, this would be the first MK without them. I find that hard to believe. The game's been out for just over a week, after all... any talk of definite answers is silly imo. I like Konquest mode, I plan doing it twice if not more times and have fun with it. If I find something, great, if I don't, I'll wait for others to. If there's nothing, I wouldn't be disappointed. The game is all that I ever wanted and more as it is.
