When I was going through the ad in slo-mo, at around 16 seconds there is what looks to be a new blue ninja.

Maybe his face got fucked up somehow and now he wears that mask. Maybe the amulet did something to him? Cause by the looks of it, I didn't see him wearing the amulet.

He's ALWAYS had a mask(except in 3)...its probably just a grandmaster outfit, since he IS Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei now.

he was the grandmaster in MKDA but yea his ninja costume needs to be put first.

In MKDA, Sub had only recently become grandmaster by defeating Sektor. I'd imagine that by the time Deception takes place, he's got the clan going again, and has a ceremonial outfit to boot.
i think sub-zero looks too much like shredder from TMNT.
