I think a Mileena/Tanya rivalry'd be cool. Since Tanya is rumored to have some sort of grudge against Kitana, I think it'd be interesting Mileena and Tanya fighting over who gets to kill her. I see Mileena being the type of charcater who'd be like "No, Kitana is mine to kill, no one else's." Sort of like Venom.
I'd like to see more bad guy vs. bad guy fueds. Getting kind of tired of always seeing all the evil characters automatically team up and serve the boss in every game.

I'd like to see a conflict between Baraka and Kabal. I've always admired both characters and i'd love to see them fight. I don't know how it would work in to the storyline but Kabal's Hookswords Vs. Baraka's Blades, that'd make for one hell of a battle.

I would like to see a constant rivalry develop between a few MKD fighters:

Mavado and Kabal: Well I think the Red Dragon / Black Dragon hatred may play a big part in MKD. Mavado would be awesome if he had a new look, and maybe a revised version of his second MKDA look (which was great), and obviously a new move set - although his fighting styles were ok. Kabal sounds like he will have a really cool look, and I've always liked his character.

Baraka and Mileena: Well since we see them fight in the old trailers, I thought it would be good if two turned on one another.

Hotaru and Dairou: I can't wait to see these two (hope Dairou's in it) cus there good/evil rivalry is so much better cus their samuri. There concepts look perfect (if Dairou keeps the MKDA style) and Hotaru's looks very cool. If only he would lose those flags...

Smoke vs Ermac: Don't know why, but I always wanted them to fight *especialy if it's Cyber Smoke*

Finaly, Liu Kang vs Earthrealm fighters: I always liked Liu, but I also enjoyed his death scene in DA's intro. I think he needs a complete overhaul, and by the sounds of it - he's got it in MKD. Plus he'd be an awesome evil character, and the earth warriors would be fighting their old friend - so would they kill him or not?

I've always wanted to see Motaro vs. Kintaro

I'm hoping that Nightwolf forms a rivalry or a conflict in Deception. I can't put him against an enemy at the moment.

I want to see Movado and Kabal go at it.

Ermac vs. Kenshi: I hope Ermac is a bad guy. He could be pursuing Kenshi to absorb the souls helping him to gain power.

Johnny Cage vs. Stryker: Well, if they fight each other, one of em' has to die right? And then trained snipers can kill the winner. Two birds with 1 stone.

The only new rivalry I can come up with that nobody else hasn't (I think) is one between Tanya and zombie Liu Kang. Although, if Liu's MK4 ending actually happened (or was it Tanya's? I didn't play MK4, does it show?), then he wouldn't have been alive for Shang Tsung to kill him in MKDA's intro. So we might have some problems there...

I also like the idea of a telekinetic battle between Kenshi and Ermac. Ermac could've absorbed the souls that Kenshi released accidentally in his storyline.

Kabal vs. Mavado. Naturally. Failing that, Kabal vs. Kira. Each could be trying to bring the other over to their side. Or...Kira vs. Mavado! Of course, the Red Dragon hunting down the last of his enemies. We got ourselves a menage a trois with these three.

Sindel vs. Mileena. Something to do over Kitana, I gather.

With the deadly alliance between Shang Tsung and Quan Chi not working out I would like to see both of those characters gather their own army and have an all out war. A bitter fued between the two of them would be cool in my opinion.
