Everything gets a "thumbs up" from me with the exception of Konquest mode. It still seems like a silly time sink and all around gimmicky waste of programming. In my opinion something like that should not be worked on until the fighting engine is as tight as a drum, and MK:D is maximized in sound and vid quality for each systems port.

Now after MK:DA's showing, I really don't see how the MK team could have afforded any time to develop "Konquest" without sacrificing the stuff that counts. I could understand this feature being added into MK:7 once MK:D cleaned up some garbage and added some less ambitious things. But MK:D? Very ballzy Boon.

Ah well, all h8ter bedwetting and fanboi leg humping aside, the proof will indeed be in the pudding come release. Only time will tell whether Konquest turns out to be crap or quality.

Very nice find, I also enjoy hearing good words about Mortal Kombat Deception. One thing I thought I'd point out and I don't want anyone to jump to conclusions over, but on the same page with that Preview of MK:D in the upper-right hand corner it has a list of features that the new Mortal Kombat is going to have. Among the list is the obvious and already known features like Dolby and Hi Definition capabilities, but among the list is also "Downloadable Content." Don't get your hopes up as this is probably just a mistake, but what if Boon denied downloadable content in the past saying it was probably more likely to be in MK7 just to deceive us with even more features? Hmmm..... online scoreboards sounds awesome too. =D

I see what ya mean with Konquest, however I'm more than excited about it! I think it's gonna make the game amazing. I remember when konquest came out for MK:DA and everyone said they wished it had more depth and wasn't so repetitive. They got it...and then SOME...AND SOME MORE, AND MORE!!! And I'm VERY GLAD :) It's a great way to tell a more in depth story that ending just simply wouldn't be able to portray. And not only that...but it's interactive!

I think ed will get the fighting engine down though...I mean c'mon...he's nailed everything else in the game perfectly, with so many amazing features and tweaked all the other parts of the game in a way to please us fans and also the way he feels is best. He has done an amazing job so far and I have no doubt in my mind at all that he will get the fighting just right too :) He's a very clever man, and his work says it all...
