I believe that Dk brought him back to trick the Earth warriors and have Lui Kang decieve them lol. I also think Lui Kang might be the mid or Sub boss because boon said the sub boss will be playable and one of the hottest characters we ever seeen lol.

I wouldn't mind if someone unexpected became the champion. Believe it or not, I wouldn't mind Kenshi or Hotaru taking the throne, but most likely it will be Nightwolf or a ninja.

I just think the guy who said Shinjunko (spelling?) may very well be right now. That makes a weird kinda sense to me.

He is handpicked by the Gods and trained to fight for the side of good by the master trainer, Bo Rai Cho. This could very well be the central theme to this story.

Another possibility is could it maybe be Ben/Kobra who is the new hero?
