the same thing happened to me. he moved further away. i don't know the coordinates but if you start from where he was when you did his little task. outside the city walls. you just cross back over the bridge and travel furtherback behind him along the city outer wall. somewhere near the back corner. it's a little vague but if you look around you'll find him. ( yes it's still the nether realm )
As you are running out of the city follow the left wall to the corner beside the lava flow. There you will have to fight him for his alt. As for his alt, all I have to say is "Long live Chief Thunder!!!!"
