Not a bad review either. They gave it a solid 8.0 and said it not only showed that a serious fighting game can be done on the Wii but that it was also an improvement over the PS2 and Xbox version (though, being a Nintendo magazine, that might be a bit biased.) Still, just thought I'd pass on that little gander of knowledge.

Well, it seems Game Informer disagrees. It says that the Wii version is inferior compared to the PS2 and Xbox versions. According the magazine, the controls don't feel responsive compared to the classic gamepad.

Of course, if someone feels that way, they can then use the Classic controller or a regular Gamecube controller to play the game, which would then put it on par with its predecessors in terms of response time.

Your right, but the point of porting the game was to make it compatible with the Wii-mote, if the controls suck, what is the point of buying the game for fifty bucks if people going only use a standard controller? They are better off buying it for twenty bucks for the PS2 or Xbox.

As long as you can use the classic controller, if the Wii remote dosen't work out, I don't see how one system can be better than the next, unless you count the cost of the game. But it does come with Khameleon, which is what most people wanted anyway.

I knew someone will say that. Just because one character has been added to the roster does not mean it makes the game any better. Khameleon will be controlled the same way just like every other character on the roster. She is going be just as repetitive like everyone else.

There's also the simple fact that many people will buy it for the Wii system, just like people would buy Prince of Persia for Wii, even though its available for every single system and for a lot cheaper, just for the controls, even if those controls aren't so great (but it still sounds okay.) There's also the bonus endurance mode, and I've read that the Wii controller makes many of the minigames like Motor Kombat much more intuitive and fun to do simply because of the control scheme.

And there's always Khameleon. After all, those who have the PS2 and Xbox versions really don't have the "complete" MK roster, now do they? Oh, Midway, you conartists...

When you mean "many people" your referring to fan boys, for example, some one buys MKA because of the franchise, but does not think critically about the game. Same goes for Prince of Persia. If the port is no better than the original, then there is no point of buying it, especially at a higher cost.

Extra modes such as endurance mode only add variety to the gameplay but in this case, it does not effect the controls in anyway.

What do you mean by mini games? Is there something I'm missing here or are you just including Endurance mode. I thought there was only one mini game. Anyways, there is no variety added to the gameplay other the Wii-mote controls. Motor Kombat was fun on the previous consoles, but the game is suppose to focus on Mortal Kombat. The main game's control are suppose to be improved. It's so sad that the controls in Motor Kombat is superior compared to the main game. Surely, I wouldn't buy a game just for the additional content.

Complete roster? I think some of the characters are a complete joke and don't fit in with the roster. I'm mainly talking about Meat, Mokap, and Chameleon. They should of left those three character out. I'm not sure about Khameleon, but I think the roster is complete with the original characters.

Hell yes, I'm a fan boy! That's why I'm on a Mortal Kombat site talking about a Mortal Kombat game I already own. It's the fanboys who bitched and whined for the bios and got them. It's the fanboys who wanted a "create-a-fighter" and got it. It was the fanboys who begged for Khameleon, and now we got her too. A true MK fan would be thrilled to know that the roster is finally complete, that a forgotten MK character given her just dues, that MK:A will be played an entirely new way. So, even if MK:A for Wii is for the die-hards (which it's not; it's being called "The MK game your mom can play"), then I'm all for it. The new control scheme is a bold move, and it has people split, but for every negative comment on it there's someone who thinks it works great. Like Zelda: Twilight Princess, it completely changes the way the game plays, from top to bottom, and, like Zelda: TP, it might have a few technical hurdles to jump through, but the end result is a much more immersive, pick-up-and-play game that simplifies it as well as expands upon its established marketplace. I won't knock it till I try it, but I'm more than eager to make my fatalities just that much more immersive and personal.
