What makes you so sure that Nitara won't return? She was involved with the Dragon King's story in that her vampire race would side with the Dragon King once he had power to rise again. I think Nitara WILL be in MKD. And maybe another vampire, possibly a male?

No that is near impossible. All the slots are almost filled up, especially when kitana and quan chi are in, its over for nitara, she was nice to have as a character for one game, but she wont be in mkD.

Nitara was a great addition to the MK series and you say she has no use. Your far from right there.

Nitara came in an manipulated one of the most powerful MK characters. She ended up using another to suit her own needs and there was no force needed from her behalf, just a carefully thought out plan. Through this we know of her presence as a potential threat or a potential ally to earth realm and her skills of cunning and manipulation would work very well in her favour.

Raiden tells us in his ending that her race is a threat. Her ending opened up the possibiltiy of her return and the cahnce of more like her. The vampires acould be back to invade Earth and tale over. She and her race would be a potential threat to both good and evil.

And her story also tied in with Blazes according to the endings. Her story has set in motion a lot of things to come.

Well the vampire race will play a big part in Deception. However Nitara was just a small introduction to the vampire race in Mortal Kombat. She was not a big leader in her clan, she was just lost and needed a way to get back. That's it. She's just a part of the clan. Not a leader or general. I already know if wether or not she's going to be back or not, but I'm not going to say as some people at Midway have been getting on my case of giving hints to some things. I'll just say there is a vampire in the game. That's all.

Reading between your lines Kel and considering the probability factor with what is known about returning characters I'd say Nitara won't make it. That is a shame to me. I'd hope to see her again down the track.

Yes, it's so horrible to have a character who isn't a ninja return. Nitara had a new plot for MK, as opposed to all the rehashed ones from so many "classic" characters, but because she didn't have the (stale) feeling of the originals, people think she sucks. Nitara was a good addition to MK:DA, and I hope and think she will be back. Why introduce new vampires and get rid of the one we already know? That makes no sense from a storytelling standpoint, and with all the features they're adding to MK:D, it makes no sense to scrap a character who's already got a model and animations to make a completely new one when she hasn't come close to outliving her usefulness.

And on a side note, why do you people eat up whatever these so-called insiders claim? I mean, you should be listening to me, because I have Boon's personal home phone number. Yeah, and he told me (while we were talking, on the phone, since I have his home phone number and all) that Scorpion and Sub-Zero won't be back. And neither will Baraka. Ken and Ryu are replacing the ninja, and Wolverine is taking Baraka's place, because, you know, they both have claws and stuff that pop out of their arms, bub. I thought nitara was pretty cool, i just didnt like how she had those wings, IMO i thought it looked weird on her. It'll be cool to be introduced to another new vampire, perhaps this one will be a male, and more brutal and evil than his counterpart.

Nitara is the SEXIEST addition to the Mortal Kombat series since Kitana's debut in MK2. I want the next vampire to be FEMALE! I have a little fetish for vampire chicks.

I think Nitara had a great look and concept. Her design was sexy and badass at the same time. And I think her wings looked really cool. I also felt that both of her fighting styles and her weapons fit her perfectly. The only real problem I had was with the unoriginality in the blood spit attack. It seemed like the MK team just got lazy when thinking of a special move for her. Now I think it would be cool if she came back, but Im not going to complain if she isn't. And I am also not going to jump to conclusions about whether or not she wiil be present in MKD.

the blood spit and the unicorn kick were pretty lame.

I was never using her in MKDA

I think Nitara should play a huge role in the plot. I would like to see her and her brother in Deception, but then to have something happen so in MK7 a third vampire joins, which shakes Nitara's trust in her brother, turning her to Earthrealm's side.
