No matter how you look at it, death is meaningless in MK.

Which really isn't a bad thing.

But death has never been permanent for anybody.

So basically what I'm saying is, all the "SHOCKING" "OMG!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!!" endings we've seen and will see where a beloved character dies, will not be the last we see of them. The same will be for MKD.

Never has been... never will be.

Well so far, to my knowledge, Sheeva and Rain are still dead... Let's hope they stay dead.

Sheeva died around MK3, on MK:DA on the konquest story for Kano I believe it says how she dies. Rain died on whatever game was his first appearance on a suicide mission.

I dont think because they died in MK 2 movie doesnt mean they died in the games. Who knows they might return for MK7.

And also when fighters die it is sometimes only in someone's ending that can be turned away with someone else's.

The only characters to have been confirmed dead so far are Sheeva, the original Sub-Zero, Motaro, Goro, and Shao Kahn.

The only characters to be confirmed dead and resurrected are Johnny Cage, Mileena, and now Liu Kang. Scorpion and Sindel fall into this catagory too, I guess.

Rain was the most kickass person in MK I think his moves and fatalities rocked but they gave most of them to nightwolf i think which is ok but i hope he's a hidden character

Smoke had never gone on a suicide mission. In Mortal Kombat 3 he saved Sub-Zero's life from Sektor after Sub-Zero defeated Cyrax and gave Cyrax new orders to kill Shao Kahn.

Liu Kang and Kung Lao defeated Shao Kahn and drove him out of Earth and closed the portal that connected the two realms. Kung Lao was left seriously injured and was thought to have died from his battle against Shao Kahn. Since Shao Kahn was defeated Cyrax had no more orders to follow and malfunctioned in the desert of Earthrealm. There, Cyrax would be found by Sonya and Jax.

Smoke, knowing that he could no longer be human again ventured alone into the unknown and left no trace of himself and had never been seen by another person again.

The only way to truly die in MK is to be unpopular, just look at Striker.

Here's a list of characters who are, for now at least, dead. I did this once before, but now there's been a couple of changes, as MK does every game. I'm not counting guys like Johnny Cage, who've "died" in one game, only to have their "death" reversed/overwritten.

Confirmed dead in the plot, have yet to come back.

Classic Sub Zero- Killed by Scorpion.

Liu Kang- His "ghost" and zombie" forms in MKD suggest he still counts as dead.

Goro- Killed by Noob.

Shao Kahn- Killed by the Deadly Alliance.

Rain- Failed suicide attack on Kahn (see his MKT ending).

Motaro- Killed by Sheeva.

Sheeva- Killed by Shao Kahn.

Shinnok- Dunno who did it, but we've been told he's dead.

Hsu Hao- Nothing to contradict his death by Jax. I think he'll stay dead.

Characters who've disappeared, may or may not be dead.

Stryker- Dead or alive, most of you hate him. I think we've seen the last of him.

Kai- Since Raiden's got the Lightining Staff in MKDA.

Reiko- The MK team don't really like him, so he's another one I'd say is gone for good.

Kano- According to the MKDA storyline, though he may survive.

Sahng Tsung- Same situation as Kano.

Moloch- Sub bosses don't usually survive.

Kintaro- I am really not sure about this one. I've heard that an MK3 bio says Raiden killed him.

Really not many who stay deceased. is there? And, like Jarek in the MKD prison cell, a few of these will probably be ressurected somehow too.

in his ending in mkte, and well the sub-zero in mkt was cuz they wanted to put everyone in the game and cuz a lot of people missed the attacks of sub-zero in mk2 but if u see the N64 version theres only one sub and its the young one i guess
also stryker kai and rain just dissapeared.

ps its hard to talk bout subzero and his brother subzero

Noob's ending in MK:TE states that he killed Goro.

It says Noob mortally wounded Goro in his tournament edition ending.
