It amazes me how GC owners are so worried that it wont come for the GC-- I have been a gamer pretty much my whole life and I have never seena major title that is supposed to be multiplatform be excluded from one major platform. Dont worry when MK6 comes the GC will get it too-- besides a lil known fact is that GC does support online capabilities-- there are already a few games that have online capabilities, its just nintendo does not want to make it their big focus.

Not really... N64 was WAY better than any other console at that time! I'd say GC is for nintendo/old school fan. If u want to play super sports games or those spy ones (splinter cell, ghost reckon, rainbow 6... etc.)you get XBox or PS2... Honestly... i thibnk Nintendo esclusive games (Zelda Marios) are worth far more than some games like max payne... then again... I'm a nintendo freak.... U said they may not apply online beause of nintendo? that is probably not gonna happen... they have made online ghames for all 3 consoles that were not online for Gamecube...

That isnt true about what type of games you should get for Gamecube.Gamecube is meant to play any type of game. I have many types of games on my Gamecube. As a gamecube owner I didnt just buy Gamecube for its 1st party titles, in fact out of the 14 Gamecube titles I own I only have 1 1st party title. I've had 2 other 1st party titles( mario sun sunshine and wave race) but sold them due to me not liking them. Gamecube is ment for playing games, not just Nintendo games. 1 of those 14 games that I own is Splinter cell which is great on Gamecube. I said it before I'll say it again Nintendo biggest probelm is its fan base. There fanbase only buy mostly 1st party games on Gamecube and that is lame for Gamecube owners like me that buy mostly 2nd and 3rd party games since they dont sell on supposed GC fans that only buy 1st party games. No wonder 3rd party suport for GC is going away. Wake up Gc owners, Gamecube is a gaming machine not a Nintendo machine. I would like point out that Midway hasnt stop supporting Nintnedo since Midway did release Midway arcade treasures a few weeks ago. So to me MK6 on GC is on its way just like PS2 and Xbox

I know! But njowdays many games are "exclusive"... and companies are forcing u into choosing... and they have variety, but they also focus in certain publics. I'm not saying u should get that, but companies do take "sides"

Didn't Boon say this game would take advantage of each of the 3 systems own powers?

He did! I think that statement answers the question.
If it wasnt cummin out on Cube id be damn pissed off, although i have a X-Box, i think its shit, the look of it is shit, 90% of its games so far are shit. The worst thing about it is its controller! Wtf is that about man??? Even the controller S is bollocks. Ne hoo, if Midway dont release it on the Cube then they must be fools. But as u kno they aint fools so it WILL be on da Cube

Actually the GC version of the game sold over 1 million, according to Nintendo it sold 1.2 million, thus it being put on the players choice list. only the PS2 version of the game sold better, with over 2 million, so if any version would be scrapped it would be xbox. (or atleast if they're being logical.)

ugh, not even close.

"The PlayStation 2 version of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance easily reached Greatest Hits status by selling through nearly one million units in North America. A Greatest Hit must sell more than 400,000 units during its first nine months on store shelves. The Xbox version of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance was named a Platinum Hit by selling through nearly 450,000 units. Platinum status is given to products that manufacture more than 400,000 units after nine months. The Nintendo GameCube version of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance sold 250,000 units, which qualified it for the Player's Choice standard. In total, Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance has sold through more than two million units worldwide since its release in November 2002."

I was waiting for someone to come up with the official numbers. I knew the Cube version sold the least.
Also the guy who argued about the cube's controller is so great. Umm speak english. PS2 and Controler S are awesome controllers. Heck me being the big guy that I am love the standard XBox controllers. Cube's button layout is just screwed up with that giant B. Not thaty great for fighters that require the use of the 4 buttons. Only props I'll give is that Sony ripped off SNES's design.

Seriously online is either gonna get scrapped, or we're gonna have to pay money for it.

Mr Boon saying he'll take advantage of each system's specs, well then I'm sorry then the XBox will win. Almost all ports, the Box has always had the better one. No system war here, but its just plain fact.

Lets not start a console war here. It doesn't hurt ppl who have a fav console if it is made for other consoles. And I do hope it is made for modern computer OSs.

i'm not making a console war. but it is fun to make fun of people that do. i mean, why own an xbox if you hate it? or any console for that matter? then why run around telling everyone you hate it and say you own it? where i come from, that makes one look like an idiot for wasting his money on something he hates.

but hey, keep up the fanboy attitude. you'll just close more threads and everyone will hate you. if that's really how you want to spend your time here, i cheer you on.

now, back to the civilized people. i really doubt midway will give up a cash crop like mortal kombat for the gamecube. even if it only sells 250,000, that's a hell of a lot more than a lot of other games. the only thing i question is the online support and whether it will happen on the gamecube. that's really the question people should be asking.
The only reason i have my X-box is for GTA Box set and Doom 3 and Half life 2 thats cummin out
I apologise for dissin the X-Box. Sorry ya'll
Well.. when MK1 came out I bought it for Sega Genesis. The SNES one was sad, but the graphics were closer to the arcade. Then MK2 was better for SNES than Genesis. It all just depends. All three of todays systems should be able to handle MK6. I highly doubt MK6 won't be for Gamecube just because of online play.. online play is not the veins of MK. I have Xbox, Gamecube, (sold PS2, and regret it, waiting for PS-X) and a Dell Dimension 8200 with a Radeon 9800xt. I bought MK:DA for Gamecube because it brought me back to the MK2 days on the SNES and that Nintendo was and always will be a part of my growing up. I can tell you this also.. MK6 will not make it to PC.. it will be eaten alive by piracy.

Here's something that I think that you guys forgot to look carefully at: the shoulder buttons on the 3 controllers...

The playstation 2 has 4 shoulder buttons, the X-Box has the 2 trigger buttons and the white and black buttons, and the gamecube only has 3 buttons (and I hate the way the z button feels :-\). With the design of the gamecube controller and if they make MK6 for the gamecube, the MK team would probably have to do the same thing with MK: DA and that is to only have 3 shoulder functions which could slightly reduce another function. maybe 3 may sound enough for some of you but I would like an extra defensive button or something.

As for the whole online thing, I don't think that there are many GC games supported for the GC online thing but if the MK team plans to make MK6 for the GC, there better be online capabilities and stuff...
