No offense, but those were some stupid question!
I dont understand why ask such dumb ass questions when you have such an golden opportunity..Ok some questions were good..But as far as how they feel about there success..and asking questions that have already been answered..is jus plain retarded..Why not ask if the endings have FMV videos or whats the possibility of shao-kahn being around..Or does the shao-kahn death video in mkda have any relevance to reiko..but no..what ever now we just gotta see what unfolds..Honestly other then the questions about hidden characters/sub-boss and switching thru styles..the rest were jus plain stupid and pointless..thats just my opinion..if anyone else feels somethin about that feel free to post ur thoughts..

i kno, i jus dwnloaded it, and totally agree!! Grrrrr!!!!
Well, they could and should had been better, but I thank the online comunity for the opportunity and all.
I guess they chose the questions they knew were going to get answered, maybe some quetsions such as "Is shao Kahn in the game or where is the location of X character" and similars were on risk of being wasted.
But whatever, it was good! Thanks MkO.

it's funny how the questions they ask were mostly coming from moderators on this site. They didn't even ask my question about which arcade version of MK1 would be in MAT2, the final version without Reptile or the 4.0 version with Reptile. It's almost like if they didn't even took the time to read our e-mail...anyway
Note from CCShadow: No questions from moderators were used or were allowed to be asked. Thanks!

Actually, I thought most of the questions were quite good. I'm glad those were chosen rather than things I generally see as unimportant like Shao Kahn and Reiko or FMV endings.
My only disappointment is we didn't get a hard hitting question on core gameplay.

Yes, the questions asked were very, very disappointing. This could have been a great opportunity to ask some really relevant questions (I've only heard one or two relevant issues being raised), but most questions were lacking:
1. in imagination: they were run-of-the-mill-sort of questions everyone could predict. No pertinent questions like: is this going to be a radical departure from the old MK's story-wise? What are those characters doing in the prison stage? Why were characters like Li Mei or Bo' Rai Cho chosen to move on, while some other characters stayed behind? How will the normal arcade mode work?
2. in sharpness: the answers were rather predictable, or were things we already know. No questions like: can you tell us about backgrounds we haven't seen yet? Can you confirm the existence of Skab? Or Smoke? Are Ben and Kobra one and the same person? Do Kenshi and Ermac share telekinetic moves? Why is Sub-Zero's scar missing on so many pictures?
3. in criticism: there was no single question that was even slightly critical. There was also no question about actual gameplay, game mechanics, how the online mode will *really* work, etc etc. Will the game be balanced enough to be interesting for tournaments or online play? Have the fighting styles been revamped and critically overhauled?
Well, I understand that MKO can't deliberately piss off Midway or Ed Boon if it wants to retain friendly contacts over there, but we certainly don't need to worship Ed Boon... Questions with more teeth would have rocked.

Well VQ, They did confirm Smoke. He didn't come right out and say "Smoke's in the game", but he did say that Characters would be found in Konquest and add to the 24, which means an additional amount. I'm thinking around 30. They also asked why fan favorited like Smoke are coming back, and he said he tries to include what the people want. Smoke may not be on the beginning Select Screen, but He probably will be in Konquest. Hope that helps.

Well i thought that the question were pretty good, seeing as my question made it
The reason the questions like, is Shao Khan in the game and stuff didnt make it because they more then likly wouldnt get answered. I think my question asnwered a lot, now we will no longer see Create-A-Character threads sadly.
I personally think most the questions were kick ass. YES! My question was asked, so I was all happy about that. The only thing I had a problem with was the way Boon answered most of them. For example, here was my question:
::: You have been quoted as saying that Mortal Kombat Deception will take full advantage of each system. Does that mean MK Deception will take the MK4 route and have exclusive features and cut-scenes on each system and what will this mean for online play? :::
This question should have gotten a way better answer. He could have commented on if the endings will be FMV. Talk more about content. Comment on what features will be online and on what system, for example.
Keep in mind, they can only say so much at one time. So Boon has to shy away from answering most questions to it's full extent.

I have yet to hear the interview. The fact that I knew from the beginning that a lot of the gameplay Q's weren't going to be answered kinda shied me away from the download. But, just WTF were the questions?
BTW: Jordanman is right in that some of the questions simply wouldn't be answered, so no point in asking them. The MKO team most likely did their best to predict what and what could not be answered, then determined from that the most relevant questions.

It doesnt take that long to download, barring your not on dial-up.
While I am upset that my question was not answered (will we be able to fight hidden characters by meeting set criteria :ex: double flawless, no block, etc). I do reason that it was probably beause they wouldn't have answered that. Sigh...
Still, I feel that certain Q's were..well...let's just say...unimportant...

Look guys, I am going to tell you the reason that the questions seemed to be "stupid", etc. First of all, we did not choose many "yes/no" questions, because they are uninteresting. Therefore, "Is Smoke coming back?" would not have been asked, because the answer would most likely have been either "no" or "cannot confirm or deny" and that would have been a waste. Second, we had a limited amount of time and only very specific questions would be approved. Thus, we could not ask outlandish questions that we knew they would not answer. We tried our best to find interesting questions that at the same time we knew could be answered. Finally, if you do not like the questions that were chosen, you should have submitted your "better" questions when you had the chance. If you did so and your question was not picked, we had a reason, as described above. We did indeed try our best on this and, video quality not withstanding, we feel it was a good experience and that it answered some key questions. Feel free to continue discussion on this topic, but please keep in mind the amount of work that went into this interview and that you can be critical without being condescending.

I was at E3 yesterday and today and I had the opportunity to speak to two of the staff members as well as Ed Boon, who by the way is one of the most friendly people I have ever spoken to at the show. If you would like answers to some very important questions about gameplay features, hidden characters and more just click on the E3 impressions thead on this forum and I think you will like the anwers that I recieved for all of you out there!
Peace out.
Peace out.

Well, I understand your point that some questions probably would have gone unanswered and I guess I should milden my criticism a bit; some questions were interesting but not heading in the direction that really matters, at least to me... Gameplay is a much more important issue compared to FMV endings, to name one example.
Cheers (and no hard feelings),
