Welcome to MKonline and I do believe it's so. Alot of people are mis-understanding what Boon said but I'm not gonner say to much because it's impossible.

Ed Boon confirmed that no 2 vs 2 Matchs in MKDeception, perhaps in MK7...

I'm starting to think that maybe they are fused in a way that you play both of them at the same time. Kinda like tag team but only with these two characters. Maybe one comes out for combos or special moves or something. That's what he meant when he talked about their juggle combos?

I know it sounds dumb but it's possible. Smoke may be there behind or inside Noob during the fight and he uses him for certain moves or combos. OR maybe you can change from one to the other and back. Man the more I think about it the dumber it sounds. I'm confused.

maybe the first style is "noob", the second style is "smoke", and the third is a weapon and the char. is half noob and half smoke...

My little theory

Kinda like Ryu and Ken shares the same stuff kinda. well ken is faster while Ryu is more power. So Noob and Smoke will have juggle fighting styles. Hence Boon said "kinda" so their you go since some people get mixxed up

More than likely it's two characters with similar styles of combat, because I have seen a Noob Saibot magazine scan from Deception.

I think that when you switch fighting styles the characters switch into one another just like from Noob into Smoke. Maybe the storyline has somehow combined them together and their actually one character instead of two. Kind of far fetched but not entirely stupid.

crowclock is right. they probably share simmaler moves.

You people are still missing the big word here, ''fuse''. Isn't it almost the exact opposite of two seperate characters sharing moves? Things fuse into one.
For example, if we were to fuse a...let's say, blue steel pipe, with a red steel pipe, they wouldn't remain two seperate pipes with both the colour red and blue, shared. They would turn into ONE steel pipe that used both colours.

What Boon meant to say was probably what you guys are pointing out, but the fact remains that he used the word fuse. Now wether he meant it, or he's an idiot, I don't know, but I do wish they'd start using less explorable words.

As these two pictures show, Noob and Smoke are two different characters. Hopefully this both doesn't go against image posting rules, and is current.

I think he meant fused fighting styles not entities.

how is that different from what i said?

Got 2 ideas for this.

1. They have same moves and stuff like Ken and Ryu from street fighter.

or...

2. It could be Noob is the first costume and Smoke is the second costume.

Check the character selection screen. You can clearly see both Noob and Smoke on it. They can't be fused. Unless he changed it, doubt it.

maybe its one character. with the same moves. noob is costume 1. smoke is costume 2.

but i still think it just means they have the same move sets.

Well let's say that the two characters are fused together. We already saw two outfits for Noob Saibot. So does that mean that there will be 4 outfits per person, or does Smoke just have one outfit?

Personally I don't think they are fused at all. And if they are, one Fatality will probably be based for Noob Saibot, and the other Fatality will be based for Smoke. I am going to hope they both aren't fused though.

Just check the E3 pictures on this site. On the character selection screen one you can clearly see Smoke and make out Noob. I think Boon just used the wrong word for the point he was trying to make across.

the final char. select screen most likely hasn't even been revealed yet.

There is a picture everyone was speculating on a few weeks ago. It was a character being kicked and he had arms that were transparent but wore black armor.

I think thats Noob/Smoke. Fused into one. Guarantee it.

The transparent person was more than likely Smoke, because Noob Saibot looks similar to Scorpion, minus all the armor, and just a black ninja suit over Human skin.
