They are the sub-boss and here is why.
Boon said that the subboss will have 2 heads.
Also he said it would be something we have never seen before.
It was confirmed by a magazine recently, cant remember which one though.
Alot of people Took the fact that it was a Chimera, when the 2 heads was brought up. I as well believed it until I saw noob-smoke then I knew what the sub-boss was. Noob Smoke

Look...the game is only 80% complete and according to those who have played the 80% finished version such as Kano_Fan, Noob-Smoke was ALWAYS before Onaga. That's not to say that things can't or won't change when the game is finished, but for now, it does seem that Noob-Smoke is the sub-boss. Noob-Smoke doesn't work like an Endurance match from MK3-MKT. They work more like a tag team.

Didn't Midway or someone say the Sub-boss was playable?
