LOL. Ok first off regarding unlockable characters. Shao khan and goro are stated as exlclusive to the game cube. Exclusive means they aren't on any other system. Second the game has been hacked and their are codes to play as numerous other characters. The problem is none of these other characters have full move lists or fatalities one character couldn't block. So in conclusion yes people can say 100% without a shadow of a doubt there are no other playable characters on the game.

midway could have made encripted codes that so hackers can't get. don't think midway isn't that easy when it comes to they're codes

ANSWER: Typical Unfinished Boon game.

The code is encrypted but thats the point of the cheat devices to get around it. There is no way for midway to make 2 sets of characters which is what you are claiming they did and having one without a full set and another with a full set. Sorry typical fanboi response but no. I can't believe you would even think midway would put forth that kind of effort into hiding something in a game. Not every MK has an unlockable and not every mk has secrets. You want so badly to believe that there are both secrets and unlockables in this you are making up fantasies.
If midway did find a way to hide things from the hackers I would personally be ticked off. They would have spent time and money they could have put towards improving the game which the rate deception thread shows overall wasn't very good.

Now I know many people hack games, but if Boon was smart and anticipated that, than couldn't he have put in encriptions, so that the only way to get to the characters would be to do it the fair and square way? I agree with both side of this issue to a certain extent. I find it hard to believe that with all that remains to be undefined in Deception (not getting back into the Village, Raiden's staff, White Lotus Emblem, Ninja Star, The Colored Keys, etc.) that there isn't more to this than just running around for nothing after defeating Konquest and completing every known mission (Guide Version 2.7), etc. I guess I don't want to give up that this is all there is. Maybe I'm blind, but I could not see how they would make something that doesn't have an ending.
Maybe this is a sore subject, or I'm not up to speed, but didn't they say that there was one remaining secret to Deadly Alliance that no one had figured out? If that is the case, maybe the secret is so deep or hidden or time locked, that we cannot figure it out yet.

well some say they hacked this game but apparently not all other wise someone would have finished this 100%!!!!! and to try to explain this would take hours!!!! if something is for example kano_01_fil.03 and then you have fil13_011 that would work as one file!!! but hackers cant put these two together to see what it releases in this game!!! i think thats what poon has had done!!!! poon said that things would be hidden so well that it would take months to find these things!!!and he also stated that there would be more then the original 24 characters!!! oh also im not trying to believe there is anything all i see is there is alot of lose ends in this game and it crap that we aient seeing how this game ends!!!!!!!

Its a game, not area 51, why would he go to such lengths to hide them and make it so difficult to find?? Its supposed to be fun game, not a rubix cube the size of a skyscraper. Face it, there are no more characters other than the 24 on the select screen.

well somnambulist you might be right but i believe that poon did this cause of people hacking mkda!!!! i also think he might of put somethings in the game that only are time release issues meaning that you have to be there at a certain time and day of the week to unlock it

I think that the game is pretty good already, but like it was said before why make stuff like the nija star, the colored keys, etc... if they don't have any influence in the game... Why can't we go back in the village? Like I said before I really like the game, but compared to MK DA they already had the basic fighting system for this one so they had all time in the world to put stuff in it. It took me more time to find evrything in MKDA then it took me in MKD so maybe there is a second kript or else why put so many coins in the game. Plus Boon said in that interview on Gamespot and in other interview ( don't remember) that there would be more than 24 playable characters so maybe we did not find evrything yet...and why do they show Havik and Kira in the puzzle demo if they aren't in the game...
Maybe Boon is waiting to see if someone is going to find them and if nobody find them he will revealed them to us ( at least I hope he will.... soon)... So I would have to say that I'm part of the few who still believe that there is more to find !! Peace

Of course nobody can prove that. You can't confirm none of us haven't finished konquest either.
What can be proven though, is that there are no more unlockable characters.
If Mortal Kombat Online staff, Midway staff, and thousands of other people telling you there are none doesn't prove it to you, then nothing will. You'd make better use of your time painting pictures of ceilings than looking for something else in the game, but hey, it's your time, and you're free to waste it however you like.

Seriously the people here are not thinking at all. Ok why would midway suddenly get upset about people hacking mk da when every fighting game has been hacked. Suddenly they decide they are going to dedicate time to finding a way that cheat devices can't find things in the game at the same time putting in tons of things to mask this. No there is no second krypt that was already checked in october. NO there are no other characters that was confirmed by boon. NO there are no super unlockables also confirmed by boon. The game has no secrets just unlockables and it's not the first time in the series thats been the case.
boon said things would be in the game in may they were not in the game. In october he admitted there are no characters beyond the 24. Boon in the past has stated their were things in the game that were not in the game. boon said brutalities were in UMK3 but they werent. Boon claims there are secrets in mk 1 and 2 that havent been found but there aren't. The game wasn't finished it's obvious to anybody who is more than a casual gamer there are glaring flaws in the design. Why would they put something in the game with no use? Why do any games do that. It's not the first time something has been in a game with no use at all. Maybe there was going to be a use at one point but they forgot about it.

DO they know something that we don't or are they just making it up ? I don't understand if there is actually something why does it takes so much time to be revealed espacilly if it's nothing big ( ex.. Reptile with scorpion move and is 2nd costume in green)
