Warhammer, like MK4/Gold.

Ah, good idea with the War Hammer, but personally, i think they'll take the shortcut and give Raiden the WOODEN staff while Jade has the METAL staff. Hopefully with different movesets.

Although I like the Warhammer better :)

maybe the hammer he had in mk4. but he'll prolly have the staff 2.

Well it depends on what Raiden's aliggnment is, i think if he is still on the goodies side he might have the warhammer or maybe a more godly-like weapon such as Rod, or a wand.If he is in the baddies side (¿as i think so) he might have a more dark-ish weapon such like a scythe . It' s just my Two Cents

I think he should have an electrically charged hammer like it his electricity flowing around it kind of like Thors Hammer.

what i dont like about the hammer is the fact that makes him look sturdy and slow, i know he's got super strenght and can handle it, but IMO a hammer is lame, it's not an easy weapon to pull combos with, but well that's IMO. And yes Shino, a Scythe will look badass with him!

A scythe would fit Noob better! Raiden can still have his staff. Both he and Jade can just have seperate moves. It wouldn't be hard to pull it off. They just got lazy with MKDA. Raiden having the hammer would suck. The staff will be better for combos.

Hello, does anyone remember a small think called Deadly Alliance? Both Bo Rai Cho and Raiden had a staff, and they had different moves, so why should Raiden and Jade have different weapons, can't we all just get along?

actually bo roi cho's staff was more of a beating stick, it was half the size of radian's staff, it was more along the lines of a baseball bat.

This is a good question, well worth bringing up.

My gut tells me too, like others, that he will retain his staff in spite of what we have seen from Jade.

Hopefully Raiden's can now click in half and click back together.

When it clicks in half he can hold it on either side of his opponents head and jolt them with an electrical blast.

Hopefully he'll do other cool things like hold it to the sky like a rod and then push it towards the opponent with a large lightning bolt firing through the end.

Agreed. There is no reason why both Raiden and Jade can't have the staff as a weapon. There are different figthing techniques for the staff after all. Here's how I think it should be: Jade, using her ridiculous speed, should be more heavily combo oriented, and flashy. While Raiden should be a bit slower and more calculating and precise, with more emphasis on Powerful strikes. It could work.

I think Raiden should have an iron staff, able to conduct electricity (if he still has that power). It can be called either "Iron Staff" or (DUM dum DUM dum DUMMMMM) "Lightning Rod"!

IMO Raiden should return with the staff and most of the moves he had with it from DA. Jade should have a staff fighting style that is UMK3 inspired, like the spinning baton-like strikes she used.

I agree that Noob should have the scythe. I also agree with Jade having the metal staff and Raiden having a "Lighting Rod". I'd be cool with that as long as we don't see another Scorpion/Kenshi different weapon same moves bullshit. Raiden's "Lighting Rod" should pulse with electricity like he did in MK:DA. Jades should glow purple like in MK3.

Waaaaayy different weapons.

I hope that raiden will have (if he is good) a sort of staff that is gold and white (maybe diff colors or deign because of his costume) that woudlnt be plain like his other one but would have more designs and would have a maybe gold head on it that could be something like the old design of the DK in raidens ending for DA. it would probably be something to sybolize thunder or something but a hammer is already a stage weapon that is sitting in that one tower (wind tower or something?) and I think that he should keep his style of more thrusting his staff at the opponent and jade should have more of a circular style that she spins around alot. btw i love her fatality!

Jade= Metal Staff

Raiden= Wooden Staff with eletric flowing through it

Bo Rai Cho= Small walking/Jojistu stick

They all are/could be different enough. Oh and Noob owns the Scythe, no one would use that better than him.

i also think this would work well, if Raiden has a similar style to that in MKDA, just make Jade use the staff differently. I'm no expert on staff fighting, but i'm pretty sure there's quite a few different ways of using it.

TomTaz, that is exactly how it should be done. They can both have the staff and their own movesets that are unique. Raiden using the Warhammer or any other weapon would be ridiculous.

No reason why it can't be staff. I'd be a bit disappointed if they fought in _exactly_ the same way with it though.

Jades weapons more a metal rod then a staff. Her's can be the metal staff or rod and raidens can be wooden staff. Or if theres still a problem have electric flowing through the staff like Tgrants concept of Nemiese for the Character tourny. Theres no reason why both can't have it. Its not like they will have the same moves there different in size lol.

He could have the 3-Point Staff mentioned in the DA Krypt.
