5-3, kung lao wins. after having a few choice words for a certain someone who decided to plagiarize this thread, and after receiving -2 "dragon points" (oooooh, so special) i got this person's thread closed. this person shall remain nameless unless you go do the search for it yourself.
at any rate, back to the 3rd round. next up, 2 guys who really have no business still in this thing, shinnok vs. kai.

Raiden stood up against shao kahn, shinnok & both shang tsung & quan chi, but he came just a bit short
