First off could someone explain to me what this is all about, I have read almost every news bit there has been to read about Deception, but there is alot of people saying that the characters from Deadly Alliance are all returning as hidden characters. Is this all speculation, or is it fact? Every other thread right now is concerning these characters, so this is the FINAL ONE. To put it to rest will someone reply with the facts given that they are either in or out, for my question and to finally put this subject to rest.

Thank You, MK247

No problem, I'll put that to rest for you. I was at E3 for the first two days and I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to speak with two of the development staff members and interstingly enough Ed Boon himselve who by the way is a very nice guy. I was able ask them a lot of questions that the the fans were wanting to know. The answer to your question is yes, a lot of the MK:DA caracters will be offered as hidden characters through the knoquest mode and the krypt. I got this right from Ed, the way I found this out is durring our conversation I asked him "what about the rest of the finished characters from MK:DA? Why not offer them as additional hidden characters since they're allready done." Ed stated that they are going to ofer them as additional hidden characters.

Ed and his team are undertaking a very ambitious effort and to see all of this live and in person you gain respect for the work and effort going into this game. I hope your not one of those guys that doubt what I've posted but remenber, E3 is the place where developers come out to gain feed back on their up and comming products and they were ready to answer any questions that were given to them at that time. On a side note, the first time I got to speak to Ed was while I was playing the PS2 version of the game. I was using Ermac and he saw how easy it was for me to handle just about any of the other players competing against me. I didn't expect him to even be on the floor but I turned around and there he was so I shook his hand and congratulated him on a great build of the game so far.

I told him that Ermac was really powerful and how I loved what they've done with him. He joked around and told me that he might have to tone him down a bit, but he wasn't serious. Feel free to ask me any question about the game as I may know the answer to it based on the questions I asked durring E3.

Peace out

OK, what about Shao Kahn? In or out?

Will you be able to go into the option menu and make the death traps end the entire match?

Are you serious about this? I was thinking this morning before I read about this "Why don't they put in the DA characters that are already done, and give them another fatality and Hari Kari move?" This game would be utterly fantastic if they incorporated Quan Chi, Shang Tsung, Kitana, Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, Sonya, Kano, Cyrax, and Reptile, since they are all classics. We can already check Jax and Raiden off the list. Think about it......around 35 characters. 105 death moves LOL.

did anyone ask how many costumes per character?
was the krypt accessible (just to see the # of coffins)?
is there a "dash" forward movement at all to close the ground to reach your opponent quicker?

I will think of some others later, thanks for your time and info.

So far there is no plans to make him playable but he will be part of the Knoquest mode. Remember that the final roster of selectable characters is not final. As for the death traps the latino staff member (I can't recall his name) was asking a few of us if we thought the death traps were too cheesy. We thought that they should only happen in the final round. But for now they are considered "ring outs". There will be an option to toggle them on or off.

Peace out.

Yes I am serious about this but I never asked Ed about what kind of updates he and the team will apply to the hidden MK:DA characters and whether or not they will have additional fatalities/hara kari moves. But I do know that they will not be part of the story for Deception and they will have no endings. But hey at least they will be in the game and playable.

They should make the remaining MKDA characters hidden challengers, and not playable fighters. That way, they don't have to worry so much about fatalities, suicidalities and character endings.
It's been a while since they put a hidden fighter on the 1 player battle plan!

mastermalone,
Is there any more word on the actual storyline (with hopes of Kitana being playable since she's captured) and also what about the people in the Prison Stage - any word on if they're possibly playable?

Who else might be behind bars in there, and are there other known people above the cells that we seen?

Its quite possible for Kitana to be one of the Hidden MK:DA characters but at this point none of the staff members would elaborate on which ones would still be excluded. It seems that the choices will be made by factoring in the popularity of the character and most importantly, time. Kitana is very popular so her chances are good.

The prison cell was not selectable at E3 but from the characters that were shown in the pictures its very unlikely that the MK4 characters besides for Tanya will be making an appearance as one of the staff members commented on that. I wouldn't count on Jade either but you never know. All in all, this game is going to have a lot of playable characters.

Peace out.

The only doubt I have that Kitana will be in MKD is the fact that they gave one of her styles to Sindel... Like Mother, like Daughter I guess, but be that as it may, I don't think they'll have two fighters with the same stance.

You know I was there as well and I heard a little different story, from the mk staff. The latin guys name was Paul. And he was one of the hardest people to play and beat. I was playing next to one of my friends there and he asked Allan if Jax was coming back and he said he was pretty sure he was not. But if Boon said he was then so be it. I just hope he was not refuring to Konquest mode. I am not tring to start a he said this... Hate post. I just know like everyone and there mother was saying. There will be so much, that will change. I hope your right, more players would be great. I just don't feel comfortable telling my friend MK247 yes this character is for sure coming back. Sorry MK247 I don't think we will be able to finalize any thing tell later. Oh yea and feel free to pick my brain as well. I spent more time at Midways booth in three days than I did Any where else at E3. laters DSB

Ok I stand corrected. Sorry I did not know that Jax was added as a character I guess I did not hear what I thought I heard. If boon says it, than it must be so. I just was told by one of my friends that Jax was confirmed on gamespots hands on preview. Sorry for my last post. MK247 I did not mean to miss lead you or anyone else. I am happy as hell I have always loved Jax can't wait to play him. Later DSB.
