Look I respect everyones opinion. I know there are alot of Sonya fans out there.. I am just tired of her.. Maybe its because her fatalities havnt changed at all.. maybe I just dont like her story line.. I think the whole special forces thing is weak. I would probably like her if they added a twist to her story line. Kill off Jax and have Sonya go on a quest to Avenge him.. that would be cool. She needs something to do other than just look for Black Dragon members. Sorry that I disagree with all you Sonya fans.. my opinion is just my opinion. BOO YA!

Sonya killed by that idiot Kano? I DO NOT think so. First Kano has already tried several times to kill Sonya and failed miseralbly. Even in his fake ending in DA he had to use an army to get it done. Yeah, she needs a new story, desperately. But if I had to choose, I'd let Sonya die (killed by Mavado or Kano or someone else) and let Jax turn evil or something. Or the other way around (kill Jax, Sonya turns evil).

I like Jax more then Sonya though, so I think he should stay (I do agree on getting rid of the 'gangsta' look though).

I'd say both, I'm a classic character kinda guy. None of the new characters since MK3 have impressed me, I'd say get rid of new ones, and make room for the old school.

Omg, I respect your opinion, but dude, this is Sonya we are talking about, not some un-original character like kitana or other pallet-swaps.

I think it is the best thing she still has her KISS OF DEATH fatality, and believe me, IT HAS CHANGED A LOT SINCE Mk1!!!! Even boring characters like Kitana and Tanya copied it and in a very stupid way.

BTW, her story in MKDA did not INVOLVE any Black Dragon, Kano, Jarek, etc. She was actually doing investigation in another realm and later transported by Rayden to the island.

In MKDA she faced Mavado, but her main goal was safe earth and rescue her team, nothing involving the past stories. So, it was not the same.

It could had been more interesting, but it is so much better then weak stories liek Cage (awesome) or Kitana (no offence please!)

I for one never said I liked or hated Sonya; but IMHO, I find Kitana, the reformed assassin trying to do good, much better and more interesting than Sonya, the tough army chick.

When Kitana was booted some people started to talk shit about this character, and in other threads they said they really liked her. Silly. Kitana is good, but IMO nothing compared to Sonya.

Back to the thread, I choose Sonya. She is simply the most original chick of all the games! And one of the best characters too.

She would work as a spy for him, she will even try to kill her friends! And maybe, the spell could be broken when she kills Jax, by doing this, she finally manages to be herself once more, and cries when she sees her best friends body, dead, this could awake a more furious attitude inside herself that guides her to fight the Dragon King.

I love your story line idea. i wouldn't mind seeing Sonya evil for one game. It's like I posted for Kitana, sometimes drastic changes are needed to keep a character fresh and exciting. Besides think of the other possiblities story wise that could open up if she killed Jax and then reverted to her true self. How would she cope? Where would she go from there? How would she feel about the fact that she let all of her friends down and The Dragon King almost succeeded because of her. This would be fantastic and imo revitalize Sonya's Story. However they would have to change her back though, cause Sonya is a Hero all the way. Right Queve? LOL

Kill Sonya she is weak. I hate every women character except for Frost she is the only one I like. Bring back Jax just don't turn him ghetto, like they did in MKDA. Have him seeking revenge for Sonyas death.
